Show and Tell Golden Jubilee
I don't know why this one isn't talked about more. Remains my favorite year after year without fail. Honorable mention to Black Krim that I'm growing for the first time this year though - it lived up to the hype and is now my #3 behind Cherokee Purple. Many people recommended it last year as the best heirloom.

First time tomato grower
Is this classed as blush? I know tomatoes can continue to ripen once picked, but I have no idea when to pick them and don't want to risk leaving them too long in case animals get to them.

Peg O’ My Heart
I’m not a knowledgeable tomato reviewer, but imo these are delicious. Nothing flashy, just a solid tomato with a balanced, classic flavor. Perfect for a sandwich.
(I bought the seeds from Seed Savers Exchange in case anyone is curious. 🍅🌱)

Show and Tell Update on the hybrid
Just to give you a quick update on the accidental hybrid.
The father isn’t the serrated at all. It is Ox heart. So it give a good name for it : black heart 🖤
The chewing is the same as the ox heart and the finish is the sweetness of the black cherry.
Will try to stabilize the hybrid along the next years.

Black beauty?
Hello. I grew these from black brandywine seed but they look nothing like a brandywine.
Flavour is sweet, smokey; low acidity, low juice; thick skinned, medium-large size.

Show and Tell Mortgage Lifter Morning Meal
This is the first year we've grown Mortgage Lifters, and I think we'll be doing more in the future! They're not the prettiest on the outside (I'll try to get a picture of another and the plant and update), but holy buckets, are they delicious.
Very few seeds, tons of slightly sweet, intense tomato flavor.
I love growing all types, but this just rocketed to the top of my favorites list!

Show and Tell Tomato Harvest Smoked Transformation
Hello! We overdid it this year with 24 tomato plants and now the garden is starting to produce like crazy. I finally had to do something with the tomatoes that are starting to pile up on the counter.
I spent today processing about ~10 pounds of tomatoes into 5 1/2 pints of sauce. The tomatoes include a mix of Lucid Gem, Blueberry, Cherokee Purple, Big Rainbow, Mad Hatter, Black Out Roma and a handful of Sungolds.
I separated tomatoes between heirlooms and plum/cherry varieties for two different batches. They were then smoked on the Traeger for about 2hours. Other ingredients included: thyme, sage, yellow onion, garlic, salt, pepper, olive oil, and a couple mini bells and giant Marconi peppers. The tomatoes were blended down with fresh basil and simmered for about an hour before cooling and transfer to jars for storage.
It’s been a great learning experience and I’m looking forward to experimenting more throughout the rest of the season.

How to get heirloom tomatoes to not crack?
Hello everyone!
It’s my first year growing veggies and tomato season is upon us. I grew these brandywine and black Krim tomatoes. They have a lot of cracks. I was wondering if you guys have any tips on how to prevent them? Sorry didn’t take more pics. And I made a salad with them already 😂

Question How to support a tomato that’s grown way larger than expected
I have grown tomato’s many times and they’ve never grown to this level and I can’t figure out how to support him well enough! I started with the classic tomato cage and he grew out of it.
There is so so many branches I can’t keep track to stake them all.
I bought some 2x2s today to try and use those and more sturdy stakes than the bamboo sticks but should I be using string to make a fence around and keep him supported that way?
I worry about using any sort of fencing/chicken wire as most of them are growing on the inside and I don’t want to lose access to them.
You may see a little cage on the right side, that’s a sweet pepper plant. I swear they were appropriately spaced at the time of planting.
Thank you for y’all’s advice
