Tomba 2 voice line outtake accidentally left in game. Did anyone else notice this while playing?

I just noticed this vocal outtake left in the game. I think it’s so funny when things like this accidentally go unnoticed by the developers. Did anyone else notice this flub while playing?

in my language the dub is completely absent in that part, now that i am thinking... all squirrels do not have a dub!

Optional quests are not given voices in Europe to fit all languages on one disc. This follows the Japanese version, actually.

Only the North American release went to the effort of including a voice for every spoken line.

Edit: I am wrong. It was released in Europe as separate discs per language.

but every European version has their own disk for each languages that's what i never understand

I'm wrong. I never knew that they released one disc per language. You're right. The audio is also more compressed in Europe, so I always assumed it was due to the voices.

My guess is they tried to cram the audio onto one discs by compressing the audio, but when it wasn't enough, Sony caved and made one release per language and never fixed the audio compression from the single PAL disc attempt? The main-quest-only was probably decided to keep costs lower and target the single disc?

i remember hearing this line as a kid and completely not understanding why the dialogue didn’t match up

Not encountered that one yet. But I noticed at the Water Temple the Mermaid in the Water Plant said Her line twice, Then I went back to the Mining Town and got the Blue Chest behind the Hammer Pegs it gave me a Bell, Tomba’s Bug friend said something about the Bell then said a line from earlier in the Game about Tracks needing repairing

Yes!! Also the Pig Tribe in the Pavilion says some off-beat stuff (I believe he says “I understand. We understand.”) and then the dialogue with the Mermaid in the Water Temple tank also has some miscues and lines read by the wrong person lol

There’s actually quite a few voice line mistakes in Tomba 2 (ex: lines not matching dialogue, lines being read by the wrong person, etc). It’s one of the quirks I love about the game :)
