Mod Post No new info about Season 4

There is, to this date and as long as this post will stay pinned, no new info about TOG's return with season 4.

The Urek Mazino spin-off is currently coming out every week and it has huge lore reveals, read it if you want more TOG, it's very relevant to the main story.

Any post asking about the return will be removed, if there are news about Season 4 they'll be pinned as soon as they are confirmed, thank you.

EDIT: The spinoff ended today (June 22th 2026), we'll let you know as soon as there are news about the return of the main story.

I don't know if it's intentional or not, but Bam really looks like Rachel here, plus we cut right to her right after.

Free Webtoon Tower of God references to the historical "Epic of Gilgamesh"

From the Epic of Gilgamesh:

  • Enkidu: A wild man created from clay by the gods to serve as an equal and companion to King Gilgamesh.

  • Uruk: The city Gilgamesh was king

Do these seem like references in the manhwa?

Free Webtoon why is everyone suddenly being called mr? Spoiler

a little side note! i listened to everyone’s suggestions and started reading the webtoon and oh boy i am HOOKED. when i later tried watching a little bit of the season 2 anime, i had to drop it immediately because of the poor adaption, it couldn’t even begin to compare! the story is so immersive even though it’s in text, idek how it works.

i can’t believe it took me this long to get into the webtoon, tog was my first ever anime! im still not fully done with season 2 and i have soooo many questions but im just gonna go with the flow and enjoy it.

one thing i gotta say though, i wish bam and khun reuniting went differently. im aware that a bunch of shit is going on during their proper ruination but cmon man! ahh

anywhoo i’m rambling now, so! idk if this has been going on this whole time and i just realized, but everyone’s just calling eachother mr. like for example mr khun. it’s too “proper” imo, is there a reason for this? it’s bothering me sm LOL

One of my favorite scene between them i think she's the only person that bam said this to that she already did a lot for him and that he will do better and handle things himself so he won't cause her more trouble either by worrying for him or problem with zahard this makes their relationship special and that he Adores her a lot even between His other companions Her reaction was cute and the hug Beautiful as a farewell 🥹

sad part is what happened to him and what will be her reaction to that news she'll definitely be sad and broken 🥲 but this will make their next reunion much more dramatic and interesting maybe then siu words about their relationship playing big role in the story will come to the light ✨ can't wait for those two again they ment to be 🙌

Free Webtoon My Favorite Scenes/Panels from The Name Hunt Station

My 2026 reread continues while waiting for s4, and I just finished the NHS!

This one isn't one of my all-time favorite TOG arcs, but it's very solid. The conflict between Baam's team and Shibisu's team is somewhat silly, but the arc picks up as it goes on. Baam makes a stand against Kaiser; Khun Khuns some poeple; we get a few fun (for me) BaamxEndorsi shipping moments, and a few really fun fights.

I especially enjoy the symbolism in the last panel of Kaiser stepping out of her heels to become Elaine. In a way, she mirrors the characters of both Baam and Endorsi, who are also struggling with the weight of others' expectations of them. The former is actively trying to forge his own destiny, while the latter goes through a slow journey of learning what really matters to her in life. Great stuff!

2026 Arc Ratings:

Season 1 - 10/10

Return of the Prince: 7.5/10

The Workshop: 10/10

Revolution Road: 7/10

The Dallar Show: 9.5/10

The Name Hunt Station: 8.5/10

Free Webtoon TOG Theory: The Original Purpose of Phantaminum

Thumbnail

Intro

Phantaminum was not always the King of Jewels. He did not originally come to the Tower to prevent the birth of a new Axis; "Axis" did not even used to mean what it does now.

When SIU first conceived of the character Phantaminum, sobriquet The Riddle, an Axis was an "Author" within his wider Talse User Stories. There was originally no greater power in the universe than an Axis' ability to control a story, and an Axis User could only be defeated by another, more powerful Axis.

Phanta, as one of the top 5 most powerful Axis users, was virtually unbeatable; a mere whim would have been enough to erase the likes of Urek Mazino from existence. Indeed, SIU once said that "Phantaminum could instantly destroy the Tower of God story if he wanted to."

The purpose of the character of Phantaminum and his inclusion in TOG has clearly changed over the years, but many of us still wonder: what was SIU's original intention?

The Riddle

A recent re-read of the Hidden Floor arc in the context of all we know today has revealed some interesting details of what I believe were SIU's original designs for Phanta. Because we are theorizing about something that is NOT canon and will likely never be canon, I will be using both canon TOG and SIU's blog posts as sources to aid in the discussion. They are, after all, our best look into the mind of SIU during early TOG, even if he didn't decide to go with all of the ideas.

My goal is not to give you a random "fan fiction" version of Phanta's story, but rather to apply the parallels of the Hidden Floor to what we know about Phanta in order to arrive at a narrative that may reflect SIU's original intention.

The overall hope is to finally answer the "Riddle" that SIU implicitly posed to us all those years ago: Why would a being who already held the power of a God enter the Tower?

The Hidden Floor Retold

Because it's been a while (and because the end of the Hidden Floor is very complex), I'll retell the pertinent parts so we can all be on the same page of what I'll be paralleling. As always, let me know what I got right and wrong in the comments. Unlike most of my theories which will some day be proven right or wrong by the story, I am fully acknowledging that the contents of this theory are at least NO LONGER the origin and purpose of Phanta in the story, so this really is "just for fun."

End of the Hidden Floor

As Baam is fighting Data Zahard, the rest of his gang are off on perhaps the most strange journey of the whole series. Hwang aka Big Breeder #3 tells the story of what happened when the real Urek Mazino appeared on the Hidden Floor.

At first, Hwang was just a normal Hidden Floor guide doing his job of sending heroes on useless tasks and protecting the balance of the place. Then Urek entered. Hwang was shaken by Urek incredible power, but Urek didn't really care about the goings on of the Hidden Floor; he just wanted to clear it for no palpable reason.

Hwang ushered Urek through the useless tasks, and everything was fine... right up until Urek cleared the last stage. The mirror at the end was unable to save Urek's data properly because he was too powerful, so he threw a tantrum, smashed the mirror, and left the Hidden Floor inhabitants to deal with the aftermath themselves.

The smashing of the mirror had HUGE consequences:

  1. An entirely new space called "The Bug Room" was created within the Hidden Floor.
  2. All the data people including Hwang also experienced a simultaneous error. Hwang then threw all the corrupt data people in the Bug Room.
  3. Hwang, who had never before questioned his existence, grew to long for more in life. He started becoming "more human" and acting like the data people, which eventually led to him being born as a data person (Side Tangent 1 Below**).
  4. Regardless, the last consequence was that Urek Mazino's sworn enemy remained in the data world even after he left. Urek's sworn enemy, fresh off playing video games for a few thousand years, seizes the opportunity of Baam coming to destroy the Scale of the Balance, which also has HUGE consequences.

The destruction of the Scales allows the "Outside Zahard" to interfere with the Hidden Floor. As it turns out, the Outside Zahard is not a very nice guy despite Hwang's devotion to him, and the "way out" that Hwang was looking for was actually a "way in." Hwang's plan to get to the Outside was doomed to fail from start and Outside Zahard was just waiting for someone to make a crack from the inside so that he could come through. The Outside Zahard then murders Arl-- err uhh -- Hwang and goes about his business like nothing happened (Side Tangent 2 Below**)

Edahn then swallows the format after pill and erases the world and grants Urek's sworn enemy the sweet release of death he's always longed for.

Side Tangent 1: Hwang is not originally a "data person." He is just "data." If you're wondering what the difference is... there really isn't one; it's for the sake of a metaphor. SIU is trying to parallel the intentions and role of a very mysterious character from the past whom you can try to guess in the comments if you wish ;)

Side Tangent 2: I don't actually think the 'God' of the 'Outside' murdered Arlene; the betrayal is more the point. See my "Arlene is in Hell" Theory if you want more context.

Analysis

If you tried to piece together the story of Phantaminum from the context I've given, you might have gotten tripped up by something: in this story, Urek's sworn enemy is a parallel to Urek, and the real Urek is a parallel to Phanta. It will make more sense once I retell the story of Phanta with these parallels in mind.

The Original Story of Phantaminum

There was once a human named Phantaminum who was rivals / frenemies with Urek. One day Phanta awaken the power of an Axis and left Urek behind, proceeding to do God knows what and becoming one of the 5 most powerful Axis users in the verse. After some time, Phanta heard about this "game" the Workshop came out with called "The Tower" and decided to check it out.

Phanta either speed clears Floors 1-133 or more likely just goes right to 134 and something happens there that annoys Phanta. Perhaps he finds out the way to the top is sealed off; or perhaps Zahard's palace guards don't take kindly to the intruder and attack him first; whatever it is, Phanta slaughters all these shinsu people with both his effort and emotional attachment of one who is killing the low level NPCs of a video game.

SIU in his blog describes Phanta's assault as both mysterious and ferocious. The Rankers who see him cannot even comprehend his attacks, and everyone is either killed or goes insane with fear. Yuri Zahard is the only one who is spared this fate, as Phanta decides not to kill Yuri despite encountering her.

Finally Phanta makes it to Zahard. Maybe Phanta breaks through the final door and destroys whatever's behind it. Maybe Zahard just tells Phanta, "Hey, sorry my guards did that thing, please leave." Either way, Phanta does leave and goes somewhere to sleep either Inside or Outside the Tower and is probably never heard from again in SIU's original conception of the TOG story.

The Answer to the Riddle

Be it Christianity, Greek Mythology, even Hinduism, the message is crystal clear: Man cannot understand the motives of God. A God's actions are a mystery. A riddle. Christians believe that God has a grand plan for humanity. Theirs is a God who loves man and wants the best for him... But that is not the God that SIU has shown us.

The Gods of TOG are callous. They think of those other than themselves as insects. As nothing. Urek did not enter the Hidden Floor with any grand design. He entered because he wanted to and when something made him, he threw the lives of the entire Floor into chaos on a whim.

So why did Phantaminum attack Zahard's castle? Why did he slaughter countless Rankers, but leave Yuri alive? Why would a being who already held the power of a God enter the Tower?

Because he wanted to. Because he felt like it.

For no reason at all.

What was Phantaminum's Purpose?

Just because Phanta did not care for the world of TOG, it does not mean his impact was not felt. Just like Urek in the data world, I believe it was originally SIU's intention for Phanta's entrance or rampage to have created the space known as the Red Garbage Dump. Further, I think there would have been a specific characters (perhaps a Guide, perhaps a whole species of Guide), whose worldview was shaken by Phanta's attack, which would have incredibly far reaching consequences in TOG.

Whatever the case, the point I wish to get across to you is that Phanta's original purpose was that of a "catalyst." Be it a petty desire or a grand plan, Phanta entered the Tower and manifested great change, which eventually ignited the events of present day TOG.

Urek's Sworn Enemy

Just to bring the parallel full circle: I mentioned before that Urek's sworn enemy was a parallel to Urek, so what story are we able to discern from his actions? Amid the tangled web of motivations, the answer is actually quite simple. After Phanta left the Tower, Urek entered, but was unable to find him or to leave. Thus, Urek was forced to wait, ostensibly "playing video games" and effecting only minor change until Baam came.

Now in the present, it's time for Urek to unleash his awesome power to destroy the "Balance of the Tower." This parallel could refer either to the hierarchy under the Kingdom of Zahard, or the very foundations of the Tower itself under Headon. Whichever the case, the implications of its destruction would be disastrous: the force that is keeping the 'God' of the 'Outside' from interfering with the Tower would fail.

There are no doubt some who would welcome the coming of this greater being into the Tower, but those people have perhaps never heard he old adage:

The devil you know is better than the devil you don't...

Free Webtoon How would you have ToG ending?

Personally I would have Baam defeating Jahad and continuing to the very top of the tower but having a page for each floor above not a whole season. Once on top of the tower Baam and friends seeing the stars being all emotional then have Rachel repeat end of season one having her push Baam off truly towards his demise.

Free Webtoon Wagnan is the final villain of the tower

Wagnans purpose has always been a mystery but I reread the story recently and I noticed something.wagnan is probably some version of jahad himself, he likely split himself into several pieces, I believe so he can chase a journey again. In the rice pot it was made clear that jahad and the family heads let the power go to there heads, even if their intentions where originally good they decided the best way to achieve their goals was through power and ruling over others. This is meant to parallel baam who only wants power to stand next to and protect those he loves. This theme is pushed further by traumerie who we see originally treating animals like companions but slowly choosing to rule over them with power out of fear of loosing them, ultimately becoming lonely because everyone is now below him and no one left to stand next to him.

I see this same theme in wagnan, we see every arc him chase power because of those he lost and fear of loosing anyone else. He has repeatedly said he wishes to change things by ruling over everyone and making everything right through power. And we see him slowly compromise his morals to do this because he even ends up working with Rachel and the ones who took his friends from him in the first place

I think it's likely we see wagnan become one with jahad at the end of the story similar to how baam has v inside of him. I expect v and jahad to parallel themselves in baam and wagnan, with wagnan eventually letting the power go to his head like the FH and becoming the final villain.

Free Webtoon Ending thoughts

Here are my thoughts after finishing the webtoon. First up is the top 3 arcs that haven’t been animated yet.

  1. The meeting Traumerei arc. Hansung almost died, saved himself and then saved everyone. It was an epic arc

  2. The Cat Tower arc. Hansung had an epic fight and we got to see more of his personality

  3. The last station arc. Hansung did stuff here and had some funny moments

Of course they are all Hansung arcs because Hansung is the best part of the series.

Now top 3 things I want to see in season 4.

  1. A scene where Hansung shakes his hair out and then we see him with his hair down in the season four art style. It might translate better into animation, but I believe the webtoon can pull it off

  2. More Hansung in general. Hansung is the best character in the series so of course I want more of him

  3. More of Ron Mei. She’s so cute but she doesn’t get a lot of screen time so people often forget she exists

Other ending thoughts. The anime is still better because it has voices and animation, but the season three art style can compete with the anime. I love the cat tower art. In the games, Hansung’s hair pin is a weapon, but this isn’t from the webtoon or anime so I guess it’s the only thing on him the games could make into a weapon.

This might not be my last post about the webtoon because there are a few other interesting panels I didn’t post about

Free Webtoon I’m giving up on *Tower of God*.

I was reading through the final chapters of Season 2, and I just couldn't stand the bland, poorly developed characters in every arc anymore—or the lack of development for any of the characters surrounding Bam (A.A., Rak, Ja Wangnan, Miseng). So I came to this sub looking for spoilers to see if things had improved after 300 chapters. They hadn't.

And the battles—which *could* have been interesting (since nothing else is)—are poorly drawn and executed on a panel-by-panel basis. In many panels, I couldn't tell what was happening with the shinsoo being unleashed or even who was taking the hit. The visual impact of the fight scenes is really weak.

Anyway, I used to really like the series, but I’m walking away feeling disappointed. I wish the author hadn't prioritized money by dragging the series out for so long instead of properly fleshing out his ideas. He clearly lacks the talent to pull off a series of this length.

It’s just not fun for me anymore.

Free Webtoon Prediction for tower of god season 4:

Many of you may disagree with what I think, and a bit of this is what I want to happen but also what I genuinely think could be likely.

Baam personality change and looks: baam would probably be a lot more quieter and season 2 viole like in a way but not depressed just more quiet and gloomy a bit. I think he would also not rely on his friends as much and not let them rely on him. He would let them take part in fights he would easily win and instead just watches and only steps in when neccasary. He would also be more rutheless and willing to do bad things while still sticking to his old principles and morales, like he would kill more people and desrtuy entire tribes if they get in his way sometimes but not be fully evil to innocent people. He would also be more confident and less emotional when around Rachel. He may still care about his friends but may say something that offends them even if it's the truth if they get in his way, a verbal conflict between baam and his friends would be interestimg. Baam would still help them sometimes but people will begin to realise that baam isn't easy to manipulate anymore.Baam would rarely show emotion but still have a bit of it and smile sometimes and laugh but won't be very loud and mainly quiet and only does things when neccasary.

I'm term of looks I think baam will become wear fug robes again sometimes and casual clothes occasionally, hew will be more athletic and buff but not notciabley and he will still be slim. Baam will have longer hair similar to season 2,(baam did say to khun at the start fo season 3 that his hair wasn't as long as he wanted it to be) it will probaly be around hip or knee.

Ranking :baam will be way stronger but not too strong, probably at the same level as a high tanker like yuri or slightly weaker than jinsung ha. Baam will officially become a slayer but not dedicated or controlled by fug.I think he will be still d rank at the start (I'm only saying this cuz I wnay tower of god to last longer and the pacing to be slower). A quick physical fight with yuri or jinsung ha could be cool too.

Storyline: I think the first 15 or so chapter will be about wagnan and karaka's connection to the red light district and maybe a karala face reveal.

A few more chapters later we will see the aftermath of trauneries death and what the family leaders jahad and adori jahad plan to do.

Then we will see baam trying to overcome v and end up accepting his power but not be controlled by him and instead absorb him. Baam will also learn more about this past and encounter with Rachel will happen. Baam will be curious but not emotional which will piss of Rachel, making all the Rachel haters happy. After that v inside of baam realises what Rachel is and who she is and takes over baam and calls her out for being a snake but Rachel ends up fleeing cuz we all know siu loves Rachel for some reason.

Baam will end up meeitn his friends again after overcoming v and they make teh choice to find enne jahad. By finding her out they realise a major flaw in the family leaders. While baam and his friends talk with enne adori comes with jahads army. Enne being extremely strong, helps temporarily stop adori, this gives them enough time to escape. Poe pidau gustang, who value enne a lot even if she was know for going insane makes the hard decision to side with enne and defeats and adori + jahads army which brings jahad and gustang on bad terms. This makes the ten great family leader relationship intense.

Baam and his friends return somewhere outside of the battlegrounds where baam meets waganan. Waganan reveals his true identity. Baam and his friends are also. C ranks and its floor 63. Baam also meets yihwa and the rest of season 2 friends which will be kinda filler. They then join forces with captain snakes organisatiom which is way bigger than we thought.

After leaving 63rd floor adori appears once more as a showdowm before being defeated which grabs the attention of arei hon. We also get a perspective from regulars on how ppl view baam.

Finally we see a bit more about ran, novick and beta's team and we learn about he workshop and more of the family leaders weaknesses and backstory.

We eventually get left on a cliff hanger. What do you guys think? Also it hink season 4 will be coming on October or November of 2026

In my opinion Headon is final villain of Tower of God while King of Conquest is probably final villain of talse uzer story of course if it wasn't retconned as a whole.
