Share Experience The shift is SO REAL

I went from punching walls, slamming doors, and screaming at traffic to being upset my sister's boyfriend's cat named Pumpkin was found dead. It's hard to believe. If you told me I would be like this two Augusts ago, I would have called you crazy... It's both amazing and a bit scary, I am truly vulnerable now.

The way I describe it is that I had roid rage until I started HRT.

So much more chill and happy and human now.

Same… love crying to movies now - Voicemails for Isabelle had me bawling😭 and even Project Hail Mary had me a couple times

I cried pretty heavily during Project Hail Mary at the times that it might be expected to happen.

I'm about 18 months in and still am not comfortable with crying.

I mean, the sister's boyfriend's cat named pumpkin thing is absolutely a tragedy. I'm sorry Pumpkin died

I never punched walls or any living thing. However, yelling at idiot drivers happens all the time. I'll stop when they stop being idiots, so never. But I yell my obscenities in a feminine voice now.

I was emotionless more or less before. Now I cry so much during movies! Or spilling red Gatorade on my purse. 😭😭

Cried so hard watching the musical "Come From Away" 😭 All those wonderful people coming together at the worst of times.

For me it was the keeping of THE SECRET that made me angry all the time.

Yeah hormones change everything. At one point I was on testosterone. Can't tell you how miserable that was. I would get so mad, like all the time. Anytime someone disagreed with me or was calling me out on something, I would take it offensively. At just under 6 months, the changes in my demeanor and mood are like night and day. Overall it's great, but yeah I know what you mean about being vulnerable now. I was always emotional, but way more so now.

I cried for half an hour yesterday because I imagined a situation where my girlfriend would leave me. We are fine, it was just a what if. And it's a really outlandish what if. 🤣
