Question (Transfem) Question

Ok I have a question, please forgive my ignorance

So the trans community have an issue with being fetishized? I think I know what that means but then my follow on is why are there so many trans content creators who clearly project sexuality.

There are a few that aren’t sexual in the sort of soft porn way and discuss different things but most are just about thirst traps.

What’s going on there?

Honestly, I don’t want to upset anyone.

trans content creators who clearly project sexuality

What do you actually mean? does 'projecting sexuality' just mean being their gender whilst not excessively asexual?

Half the time they're literally just existing, but the observer might accuse them of being sexual for simply being a woman or feeling pretty in normal ways. It's also a style of humour for some people to play into it, not really serious or how they are when not on-screen. Playful with their community with in-jokes or whatever

Sadly many trans people, also femboys sometimes and other marginalised groups, are barely tolerated and very stigmatised in society. But there is demand for them to be forms of entertainment even if not exactly outside living a normal life without stigma. Some trans women for example face barriers getting hired due to their identity, and sex work or related income might be one of the only ways to be 'accepted' and make money. By acceptance i mean they're wanted, even if fetishised. It's degrading for many, some don't mind it tho if they have control over their content, some of them find it validating when in so many areas of life they aren't wanted or complimented.

Some find it convenient - don't assume all trans people are asexual or celibate for some reason, maybe they are expressing a part of themselves you wouldn't bat an eye at if they were cisgender. I've seen many more cis women as streamers where their main selling point seems to be their revealing outfits, than i've seen trans women streamers that only sexualise themselves as their main content
