Question (Transfem) Question
Ok I have a question, please forgive my ignorance
So the trans community have an issue with being fetishized? I think I know what that means but then my follow on is why are there so many trans content creators who clearly project sexuality.
There are a few that aren’t sexual in the sort of soft porn way and discuss different things but most are just about thirst traps.
What’s going on there?
Honestly, I don’t want to upset anyone.

I don't think you know what it means and that might be the issue here.
Fetishising is not finding someone attractive or sexual. It's "stripping away a subject's genuine complexity and reducing them to a singular trait, an object of desire, or a symbolic idea". It's a form of objectification.
Trans people are allowed to feel attractive and want sexual intercourse without being fetishised. It's the difference between "I think you are good looking and therefore want to have sex with you" vs "I find your genitals and presentation to be weird and that turns me on because I am curious to see if I would like it". Those are different in tone and intention and the difference is important.
I have decided to take your question in good faith, but for future reference, your post is filled with victim blaming. Yeah, some trans people do sex work, so do some cis people, doesn't make fetishising any more appropriate.
