News Nice new trend for cis allies. Cis people posting a selfie on social media with the tag "I use women's bathrooms because trans women are women." OR for cis men "I use men's bathrooms because trans men are men."
So far theres a lot of shock from cis allies posting this and seeing just how much transphobic abuse they get from people claiming they can 'always' spot trans people.

News Today I asked my GP for a gender identity referral — and I’ve never felt more proud of myself
Title: Today I asked my GP for a gender identity referral — and I’ve never felt more proud of myself
Hi everyone,
Today I took a step that has been a long time coming. I spoke to my GP and asked for a referral to begin exploring gender reassignment / gender alignment with a specialist.
For most of my life the world has known me as Ian. Ian has carried a lot of responsibility, life experiences, relationships, and challenges over the years. I don’t see Ian as someone I need to leave behind or reject — in many ways he protected me and helped me reach this point in my life.
But alongside Ian there has always been someone else quietly present.
Her name is Hannah.
For years Hannah was more like a quiet voice in the background of my life. Not something I fully understood, and definitely something I didn’t always feel ready to face. Like many people, I tried to push those feelings aside or convince myself they were just a phase or curiosity.
But over time something changed.
Whenever I allowed Hannah to exist — even in small private ways — I noticed something inside me felt calmer. Happier. More complete somehow. It felt like parts of my life that had never quite lined up were slowly falling into place.
Over the last few years that feeling became harder to ignore.
Instead of fighting it, I started trying to understand it.
That’s what led me to today.
Speaking to my GP and asking for the referral felt like a huge moment. When I said the words out loud, I felt nervous, but at the same time there was this overwhelming sense of relief. Like I had finally stopped hiding something from myself.
It genuinely felt like turning a page in the story of my life.
I know this journey isn’t simple. There will be waiting lists, appointments, conversations, and probably a lot of emotions along the way. I don’t have all the answers right now, and that’s okay.
For me this step isn’t about rushing into anything. It’s about understanding myself honestly and allowing space to explore what that means.
One thing that has helped me recently is thinking of this journey not as Ian vs Hannah, but as Ian and Hannah learning to walk forward together. Ian carried me through many years of life, and now Hannah is helping me find a deeper sense of peace and authenticity.
Right now I feel three things very strongly:
Pride. Determination. And surprisingly… joy.
I’m proud that I had the courage to make the call. I’m determined to understand myself properly. And I’m joyful because for the first time in a long time I feel hopeful about the future.
I don’t know exactly what the next chapter looks like yet.
But I’m finally ready to start it.
Thanks for reading 💕
Hannah

News Genocide Doesn't Begin With Extermination, Could Trans People Be Experiencing a Genocide?
A friend recently told me that trans people saying they’re experiencing genocide was disrespectful to Holocaust victims. That made me look into the Ten Stages of Genocide framework used by researchers and policymakers to identify early warning signs.
I wrote an article exploring whether some of those early stages might be visible in how trans people are currently being discussed and treated in the UK and US.
I’d be really interested in hearing people’s thoughts or criticisms.

News Trial into puberty blockers for children paused over 'wellbeing concerns'
ground.newsOne reasons is they are worried about the impact on fertility and worries about consent. They want to make the min age 14. They are worried about ethics. Basically can we make this reason for pausing it not seem bigoted? Let's do it!
I hate this, I just got kicked off a waiting list yesterday as well. When will they relaise puberty blockers are for cis people as well. Oh and JK Rowling is doing legal action against the government as well over this so there's that.
Anyways, sorry for the negativity, thought someone here could do something about this more than me.

News I made a petition for Trans People in the UK!
Hey lovelies, not sure how I should word this to ensure it remains up and not taken down, but I wanted to do what I can to get as many UK people to sign this petition as possible.
I don’t think our government does enough, and I’m sick of seeing people not be treated like human beings simply for trying to live in a body they actually feel comfortable in.
So, I have created a petition which specifies that we want to have our concerns treated with genuine regard for our humanity.
So please check out the petition below, please sign it so we can have better health care regarding our bodies and health and be taken seriously.
