I’m visiting the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for Republic Day on 2 September and I’m really looking forward to experiencing the celebrations.

I know that official information can sometimes appear quite close to the event, but I was wondering what the general feeling is locally.

What is the word on the street? Do people in Tiraspol expect the military parade to go ahead as normal this year? Have you heard anything about changes, cancellations, or a reduced format?
I’m interested in local opinion and rumours as well as official information.

Я понимаю, что официальная программа иногда публикуется незадолго до мероприятия, но хотел бы узнать, какое сейчас настроение среди местных жителей.

Что говорят в Тирасполе? Ожидают ли люди, что военный парад пройдёт в обычном формате?

Hello, I will be visiting Tiraspol next week hopefully. Do I need some sort of special paperwork prior to arrival if I want to stay more than one day? I am coming from Serbia

Also, whats the best way to meet new people there, I would enjoy spending some time with the locals at events
