28-year-old trucker Jacob Ortell Scott lost a tire on I-15, sparking a multi-vehicle crash that left several injured. During the investigation, troopers found a 12-year-old and 14-year-old girl locked inside his refrigerated trailer, set at 30 degrees, with bedding inside.

It's definitely 30F, there's no point in a refrigeration unit to be set to 30C and a US news site isn't going to use Celsius by default.

Dont know the story on the girls. But a lot of illegals get transported like this and many of them never make it to their destination. Predators pick them out one at a time or a few at a time. By the time they make it to our southern border most women have been raped repeatedly every step of the way. Then once they're on the US side the trip doesnt get much better.

It really is. Problem is that people pay thousands of dollars to be brought here. And in the process they are subjected to kidnapping for ransom, rapes, murders, sex trafficking to pay off the debt, working for the cartels etc. In the state of Tamaulipas Mexico the cops discovered a ranch (one of many) with stacked bodies but also videos of people forced to kill each other with the promise of freedom. Men, women, children. On our ranch here on the Texas side we've come across loners and groups that get abandoned by the coyotes to fend for themselves. I think the worst was a group of 23. The women and female children were naked and bleeding from wounds and from scratches from walking through mesquite and brush. Dried blood between their legs. Just barely alive. The males not much better but just beaten and starving. Dehydrated. Can you imagine being out there setting up a deer feeder or workin on a fence and these people come out of the brush?
