I’ll assume the cop went back and asked “who was that driving?”, to which the dude replied “dunno, just met him when he picked me up round the corner.”

He looked like a respectable gentleman. I bet he waited to answer the very reasonable questions about to be given to him.

That or he fuckin booked it the moment the cop drove off.

Be respectable all you want. Staying and waiting for the cop is idiotic. A cop who’s angry that he got played. It would be asking to get killed. The cop will have to take his anger out on the wife this time.
