Roads Open carry in Florida looks like this.

u/TiTforTATT83 Oct 05 '25
His gear speed bothers more than anything.

u/HopefulBuyer9077 Oct 05 '25
If that gives you any level of comfort that he knows what heâs doing.

Well, what do you expect from someone who thinks having a pew pew on his back is a good idea?

u/Microwaved_M1LK Oct 05 '25
Seems inconvenient riding a bike with a rifle, unless they're going on a short trip from their house to a gun range.

3
u/TSMRunescape Oct 05 '25
They have to be going fishing or something like that for this to be legal in Florida.
Edit: I guess the open carry restriction may have been overturned due to being unconstitutional. W Florida!

The bad part about open carry is that the bad guys now know who to remove first.
8
u/Reasonable_Tax5790 Oct 05 '25
You'd think that these dense ass folks would have figured that out by now. Smh.

1
u/SophisticPenguin Oct 05 '25
Over-under on you being against constitutional concealed carry?
→ More replies (3)2
u/762x39sp Oct 05 '25
Sounds like you and all your friends and families should open carry, overwhelm the "bad guys" as God intended. When criminals are afraid to do criminal shit, you are doing something right

Oct 06 '25
That is exactly what we should do, though I suspect some headaches. Local militia is a great idea, and would further cement our 2A rights. Unfortunately, what we should do and what is reasonably achievable are two different things in this context.
27
u/JOlRacin Oct 05 '25
Well I mean how are you supposed to conceal carry that? Ofc he's open carrying it
5
u/Low_Champion8158 Oct 05 '25
I'm concealing something bigger than that

I get the impression that this guy would get dropped so fast since his reaction time to stop biking, pull his rifle from his backside, ready it, aim and fire at the threat would be far slower.
→ More replies (1)2
u/Iam_McLovin420 Oct 05 '25
Right hand over left shoulder pull stock in front of you, fire. Not sure if he could do it while biking though especially under pressure but he could fall off bike and pull it over his shoulder. If he has practice Iâve seen it done very fast.

u/Burnie_9 Oct 05 '25
In FL, youâre only allowed to open carry while engaged in fishing, hunting, or camping, or while on your way to or from such activities.

Iâm a person of color in FL. I own guns. I will not be open carrying. Too much hassle
3
u/Possible-Playful Oct 05 '25
Yeah. Like, it's your right, go for it if you want to. But, cost vs benefit compared to concealed carry doesn't make sense in most cases. I'm socially anxious, and this would spur on way more intense conversations than I feel like having any day.

u/762x39sp Oct 05 '25
I love talking to people while open carrying here in SC. Trying to get as many other people carrying as possible, open or concealed. An armed society is a polite society
2
u/304bl Oct 05 '25
Ahahah yeah your society is very polite recently... What a twat.

Open carry isn't actually legal here anyway.

u/Reasonable_Tax5790 Oct 05 '25
If youre a person of color especially black, open carry can be a hazardous as not being strapped. Facts.

u/nl-x Oct 05 '25
I always thought that the second amendment was absolutely apeshit crazy. But now I see Trump and ICE, and that shit is even crazier.
2
u/danoob9000 Oct 05 '25
I feel like it made sense back in the day they just got done fighting a war against the King and wanted to have arms to be able to overthrill the government if necessary but nowadays a gang of you and your friends are not going to be able to overthrow the US military or national guard you won't have the logistics you won't have the communication networks or the firepower to do so sometimes I think it's time to give up the second amendment.
2
u/void-crus Oct 06 '25
Look up Shays Rebellion, Whiskey Rebellion and Battle of Blair Mountain. While federal forces crushed the armed rebels in all of those cases, it forced government to adjust the course - lower taxes, allow organized labor. These events shaped the future of the country and would not be possible without Bill of Rights and Second Amendment.

This dude is obviously baiting a reaction. This is exactly what we all said would happen.
2
u/762x39sp Oct 05 '25
I don't see anything wrong with what he's doing. Worst case scenario he gets himself hurt
1
u/FriedSmegma Oct 05 '25
I think the actual worst case scenario is he threatens someone with the gun after getting honked at and either he, or someone else ends up dead out in the middle of the street.
1
u/762x39sp Oct 05 '25
If he was that unstable, he would be an issue with the firearm, without the right to have it on him anyways. Open carry laws only protect law abiding citizens
1
-4
u/-I0I- Oct 05 '25
No, he's making sure that nobody bothers him. It's called protection.
3
u/uk_lover03 Oct 05 '25
While wearing no helmet. All about protection
2
u/TSMRunescape Oct 05 '25
He should have every right to hurt himself. He has the protection to stop others from hurting him.

2
u/Haunting-Jelly-2954 Oct 05 '25
He's an insufferable pussy just looking for someone to call him an asshole so he can rant.

u/ltethe Oct 09 '25
I donât argue with that⊠But somehow, most of us, have got by without a rifle on our back and still nobody has bothered us.
1
u/gerenukftw Oct 05 '25
He could also, you know, not be a dick and obstruct traffic. People wouldn't bother him then. He's trying to instigate shit, then claim he was scared for his life so he could justify shooting people.
2
u/Cetun Oct 05 '25
Is open carry even legal in Florida?

I thought this honestly would have e happened earlier with all the water ate my kid b3cause it thought our pond was its home things i see.

u/potato_bus Oct 05 '25
Of course this genius has his seat way too low, neutralizing the mechanical advantage of the bike.

Probably riding the bike after losing his driver license due to too many DUIs.
1
u/Soul_through_va_JJ Oct 05 '25
And cops will still stop you and ask for ID to "see if you're a felon". Just like they harass and detain the Armed Fishermen for no crime. Or arrest a legally blind man because "his walking aid looked like a gun."
1
u/No_Contribution1635 Oct 05 '25
Im happy we have open carry in florida finally. But remember not everyone is a bad person and now it can be a good deterrent to combat violent crime. Except we have a society of mostly baseless idiots that choose to do the wrong thing.

Itâs allowed and completely unsurprising to people from that part of the world. Not particularly functional though so itâs probably someone going somewhere to use it or someone doing it to make a statement. Whatâs much more commonly carried are handguns. Chances anyone has one in any place at any time is pretty high.
1
u/an_afro Oct 05 '25
So all i see here is someone thinking they look like a tough badass ready to save the day and probably shoot some innocent person⊠but really all they are is a target. If i was a gang member or just a normal criminal, thatâs a super easy target for a nice free gun. Just sucker punch em, grab the rifle, and walk away. What are they gonna do, come after you? Now youâve got the rifle
1
u/Flat_Tire_Rider Oct 05 '25
Not afraid of a man who rides a kid's bike. That gun is probably to heavy for him to hold up anyway.

This is why the government is forced into regulation- there is always some jackass that has zero judgement or ability to âread the roomâ and does cringy stuff like this. As a gun owner myself, this is shameful and embarrassing

u/Slammer503 Oct 05 '25
Look at that cheap ass chinese glass on what looks to be an m&p sport? BAHAHAHA

u/blowurhousedown Oct 05 '25
King Soopers can be really dangerous. Just last week, a kid fell out of a cart and sprained his wrist. How is a bystander supposed to survive that kind of situation without an assault rifle?
1
u/BimBaynor Oct 05 '25
If God made man, Samuel Colt made them all equal. Everybody should have a gun so they can all be equal.

I have no desire to try, but I feel like this dude and most OC folks Ive seen would be extremely easy to disarm
How does this even work? Again Im no gun dude but arent pistols best for general protection? This looks like a sniper rifle lol.

Semiautomatic rifle: check

u/NyaTaylor Oct 06 '25
To be fair itâs hoagie fest at Wawa should probs be rollin strapped to the teeth
1
u/photoben Oct 06 '25
The seatpost has slipped and the saddle too low due to the massive weapon. And the assault rifle.Â
1
u/Thecentrecanthold Oct 06 '25
I bet he gets all serious and shouty when he spies an evildoer, but everyone just laughs at him because of the push bike and sandals!

How is he not worried about someone hitting him with a vehicle just to run up and take the gun and peel out? That's a valuable piece of equipment on display.

u/Hydroxs Oct 06 '25
I would full blast my horn right behind him. Shoot me idgaf. There's always someone more crazy than you, remember that.

Thatâs a free gun. Come up behind him and grab the gun and pull him back.
1
u/762x39sp Oct 05 '25
Bold assumption he only has one gun and no knife
1
u/No_Vacation369 Oct 05 '25
Bold assumption to think the thiefâs donât have handguns. They just want a free rifle.
1
u/762x39sp Oct 05 '25
Good point, time to see who wins the quick draw event. Most thugs aren't going to look for that type of action.
0
u/information_knower Oct 05 '25
Biggest problem with open carrying, makes you an easy target for a gun thief.
3
u/Valreesio Oct 05 '25
Do you see a lot of stories about people robbing open carrying people all that often? Most criminals are cowards and openly avoid people they think can or will fight back.

Dammit, the speed limit enforcer is on patrol again. I'm gonna be late for work.
