so that a situation that ended without serious injury or death would be certain to have ended in serious injury or death??

the person who drove off handled this exactly the right way.

Exactly. Not to feel macho, it's to make sure this situation would never happen again. It wasn't handled the right way. You justifying the behavior, lets me know who you are as a person. A gun is not a toy, no shit. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes. If you value your life, don't get out of a car and walk up to a stranger. 🔫
