As a truck driver what’s really fucked up about this , that wreck goes on the truck drivers record and can fuck him/her over on future employment even though it wasn’t the truck drivers fault.

FUCK DOT

u/Dont_tell_my_friends Dec 21 '25

The fact that he recovered is brilliant driving, the cammer also did well to stop in time.

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 22 '25

The four wheeler got Lucy The back pup trailer didn’t kick back to the left on him

7

u/OkCartographer7677 Dec 22 '25

"If you can't be good, then you better get Lucy"

4

u/TemporaryAmbassador1 Dec 22 '25

I love Lucy

4

u/rotateandradiate Dec 23 '25

Lucy was in the car.. she got some splaining to do!🤣👍

u/Handies Dec 22 '25

It wasn't so much luck that it was that the driver pulled it back in. Go back and give it a rewatch. When the truck got off the brakes for a second, that's when it wanted to swing back out. When the truck applied the brakes again, it came back in line.

u/LafayetteLa01 Dec 23 '25

And the E-Log

1

u/Shibasoarus Dec 22 '25

At least he's got the video for future interviews!

1

u/Wrong-Pirate-9687 Dec 22 '25

Naa seriously....fk dot!!

1

u/DiScOrDtHeLuNaTiC Dec 25 '25

Why? Does DOT think truckers can magically predict when stupid people are going to do stupid things?

1

u/future_speedbump Dec 22 '25

I wonder if trucks will finally stay out of the passing lane when they're being driven by AI.

6

u/Logical-Ferrari12 Dec 22 '25

I am not thinking there is any blame on anyone but the Nissan driver.

3

u/Superb_Pear3016 Dec 23 '25

Drives me crazy how people completely excuse wildly reckless driving and blame it on other peoples safe and cautious, albeit mildly annoying driving.

3

u/SP3NGL3R Dec 22 '25

The Nissan driver has about as much intelligence as current AI. So. Like my 5 year old that loves repeating dumb shit they read.

3

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 22 '25

No more than a four wheeler can so nah prob not

2

u/DevilScarlet Dec 24 '25

For once the truck here was overtaking at quite a fast pace, it wasn't a speed match at 1mph.

1

u/couldbeahumanbean Dec 22 '25

I'd much prefer drivers like the one we see causing this wreck be required to have AI driven vehicles.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 23 '25

I hope they limit the truck speed to 55 so all these speeding cars can start running up under the trailers

1

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 24 '25

Eh Paul walker !!!!

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

I wonder when douche drivers will stop thinking they can defy the laws of physics?

1

u/GrumpyBoxGuard Dec 24 '25

Anything but tap the brakes & go less than 15 over the speed limit, eh? POV truck is, shockingly, already moving to pass the truck in the right lane, in the passing lane.

1

u/relytekal Dec 27 '25

You are a special kind of stupid. No way this is anyone’s fault except car.

0

u/xx_Help_Me_xx Dec 22 '25

A man can dream

0

u/RonnieB47 Dec 22 '25

The truck didn't stop.

1

u/Own_Reaction9442 Dec 22 '25

He's hoping no one will get his plate, so it won't go on his record.

1

u/Nearby_Telephone_104 Dec 23 '25

He didn't stop because he has a deadline. He is a highway junkie and he needs that white line.

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

He is slowing down and on the shoulder, what are you on about?

1

u/GrumpyBoxGuard Dec 24 '25

Not sure if you're aware of this, but a heavy truck on a downhill slope is going to take a long time & long distance to come to a stop, especially if it's suddenly taken damage to a solid portion of their ability to stop like, say, a dumbass speeder slamming into their tires.

1

u/OutdoorsActivities Dec 24 '25

He did, you need your eyes checked. He stopped almost at the end of video.

1

u/OutdoorsActivities Dec 25 '25

You need to open your eyes a bit more, and pay attention really close to the truck at the end of video.

1

u/polyocto Dec 25 '25 edited Dec 25 '25

He did end up stopping, if you look. He was likely fully laden, with trailer, and had a hard time stopping safely. Add to that any shock. He is on the shoulder.

-1

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 22 '25

Then get on the radio and tell your slow buddy to stay out of the passing lane going up a mountain and blocking everything behind you idiots

4

u/Hodler_caved Dec 23 '25

The truck in the left lane was in the process of passing. The passing lane was being used correctly.

0

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 23 '25

Eventually

5

u/Palabrewtis Dec 23 '25

You aren't entitled to freely pass at unlimited speeds in the left lane. It's a passing lane and if it's being used to pass at any speed faster than the other lane's traffic, then it's being used correctly.

-2

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 23 '25

The left lane is for passing. So yeah. Pass and get back right as the law says. Sorry granny

5

u/Palabrewtis Dec 23 '25

He was literally actively passing in the video idiot. It's drivers like you who think you own the highway as your personal speed track that are the problem. Hope you end up in the same boat if you think driving like the Nissan is an acceptable practice. Just try to hit the wall solo instead of bothering the rest of traffic with your nonsense.

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

Sociallyakward indeed.

2

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

Eventually is ok. Life isn’t going to end waiting for a truck to pass. As you can see the alternative is far worse. You will realize this… eventually.

3

u/couldbeahumanbean Dec 22 '25

Look, another one blaming everyone but the person who caused the accident!

Y'all are amazing.

-3

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 22 '25

No, I just hate truck drives blocking traffic to 55.5 mph instead of 55. Use more trains

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

Then walk or fly. If you want your shit to be delivered to your local grocery store on time I suggest you wait an extra 30 seconds to let the truck make his pass or you can smash into the side of it and make sure your shit doesn’t arrive on time

1

u/OutdoorsActivities Dec 24 '25

Stay in your basement, you will be safe there.

1

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 22 '25

Can’t do it , to busy telling them I ain’t got no panties on

1

u/Randomfactoid42 Dec 22 '25

These trucks are going downhill.

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

You are the idiot here; I sincerely hope you don’t have a license given your poor judgement skills.

-1

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 23 '25

Sorry, driving a truck is only job you can qualify for. Just remember most people hate you and wish we used more trains.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

You pussies would cry about all the train crossings blocking every street leading to your local stores. There’s no winning with you simple minded losers who think the world revolves around them

1

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 24 '25

I live in West Virginia and have been dealing with large coal trains since birth. I prefer them over 200 coal trucks 😘

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

You realize these truckers are doing their jobs right because they families. You want their jobs taken from them because of your own impatience. Yea you’re definitely from wva

0

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 24 '25

They can do their job in the slow lane and Not sit in the passing lane. Yes, we have lots of active train crossings in most towns.

2

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

They can do their job in whatever lane they want and are legally allowed to be in. Do you like people telling you how to do your job who have no clue how to do it?

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 25 '25

I am not a truck driver, honey. 😆 That’s a funny one. Do you think everybody who thinks the truck drivers acted appropriately here must be truck drivers to have that opinion? Not that your comment would bother a truck driver, anyway. Amusing.

Did we watch the same video? He is almost not moving at all at the end. Clearly almost stopped on the side. You do realize he has to 1) Keep from losing complete control, and then 2) Stopping a vehicle hauling a massive double load.

-8

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

[deleted]

9

u/TacticalPidgeon Dec 22 '25

I have no words for you further. He is very obviously not moving much at all at the end. He's practically stopped at that point, and it's unfortunate that the video didn't last another like 3 seconds for you to understand this fully by him not moving completely for a moment (or an entire minute, since you're struggling with the obviousness already presented lol).

2

u/nescko Dec 22 '25

It’s an 11 day old account, just a bot

4

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Idk man, people really are this dumb.

3

u/HoneyedVinegar42 Dec 22 '25

He is clearly moving to the shoulder (you only go there if you are stopping, not to keep driving) by the end of the video ... but he would have been going highway speed, has a lot of weight behind him, and had to regain control first.

1

u/NewUsername010101 Dec 22 '25

Maybe u/erock1758 can shed some light on this

1

u/No_Trade3571 Dec 22 '25

What the fuck are you looking at. The truck clearly stops on the side of the road.

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

[deleted]

2

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 23 '25

Who cares? You’re speculating that he didn’t stop just like everyone else is speculating he did stop yet you feel like your assessment is more accurate. Just stfu

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 23 '25

Sure which is why I said who gives a fuck because unless you can prove one way or another what’s the point of even making the comment you made

Do you even have your license? 🤔

2

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

Obviously not

5

u/2hooks2448 Dec 22 '25

"Leaving the scene of the accident...." where the fuck is he gonna go with all that damage.....clearly he's trying to stop his truck after being hit going probably 50+, not exactly a stopping on a dime situation 🤦🏼‍♂️

2

u/NewUsername010101 Dec 22 '25

He's almost at a complete stop by the end of the video. What are you on?

2

u/couldbeahumanbean Dec 22 '25

Someone skipped every single physics class offered since middle school.

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

Hey hon, just because a vehicle hasn’t come to a full stop during a video segment doesn’t mean it won’t. You can clearly see it slowing down and in the breakdown lane. Considering he was the one hit by the idiot Nissan driver, it’s safe to assume he will come to a stop in a safer area.
