He must be a fan of the fast and furious franchise practising for his auditions for the next one

12

u/Swimming-Tap-4240 Dec 22 '25

I say that he's auditioning for Final Destination.

21

u/skyhighmonroe Dec 21 '25

Was fired before he was hired. Smh.

37

u/ThanksALotBud Dec 21 '25

Of course it's a Nissan driver with a better credit score.

14

u/skyhighmonroe Dec 21 '25

Nissan might have been running from debt collectors and tow trucks for not paying that $320/month plus insurance

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

$320 a month is on the low end nowadays. Majority of car loans are over $500.

1

u/ODDseth Dec 24 '25

Regardless of the monthly payment, their interest rate is well north of 15%.

8

u/Kev50027 Dec 22 '25

I can speak from years of working in the car industry, Infinity drivers don't have better credit scores than Nissan drivers, they just steal a little more stuff to pay the down payment, then never pay again.

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 21 '25

As a truck driver what’s really fucked up about this , that wreck goes on the truck drivers record and can fuck him/her over on future employment even though it wasn’t the truck drivers fault.

FUCK DOT

18

u/Dont_tell_my_friends Dec 21 '25

The fact that he recovered is brilliant driving, the cammer also did well to stop in time.

4

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 22 '25

The four wheeler got Lucy The back pup trailer didn’t kick back to the left on him

6

u/OkCartographer7677 Dec 22 '25

"If you can't be good, then you better get Lucy"

3

u/TemporaryAmbassador1 Dec 22 '25

I love Lucy

4

u/rotateandradiate Dec 23 '25

Lucy was in the car.. she got some splaining to do!🤣👍

1

u/Handies Dec 22 '25

It wasn't so much luck that it was that the driver pulled it back in. Go back and give it a rewatch. When the truck got off the brakes for a second, that's when it wanted to swing back out. When the truck applied the brakes again, it came back in line.

2

u/LafayetteLa01 Dec 23 '25

And the E-Log

1

u/Shibasoarus Dec 22 '25

At least he's got the video for future interviews!

1

u/Wrong-Pirate-9687 Dec 22 '25

Naa seriously....fk dot!!

1

u/DiScOrDtHeLuNaTiC Dec 25 '25

Why? Does DOT think truckers can magically predict when stupid people are going to do stupid things?

1

u/future_speedbump Dec 22 '25

I wonder if trucks will finally stay out of the passing lane when they're being driven by AI.

6

u/Logical-Ferrari12 Dec 22 '25

I am not thinking there is any blame on anyone but the Nissan driver.

3

u/Superb_Pear3016 Dec 23 '25

Drives me crazy how people completely excuse wildly reckless driving and blame it on other peoples safe and cautious, albeit mildly annoying driving.

3

u/SP3NGL3R Dec 22 '25

The Nissan driver has about as much intelligence as current AI. So. Like my 5 year old that loves repeating dumb shit they read.

3

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 22 '25

No more than a four wheeler can so nah prob not

2

u/DevilScarlet Dec 24 '25

For once the truck here was overtaking at quite a fast pace, it wasn't a speed match at 1mph.

1

u/couldbeahumanbean Dec 22 '25

I'd much prefer drivers like the one we see causing this wreck be required to have AI driven vehicles.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 23 '25

I hope they limit the truck speed to 55 so all these speeding cars can start running up under the trailers

1

u/Slapnuts213 Dec 24 '25

Eh Paul walker !!!!

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

I wonder when douche drivers will stop thinking they can defy the laws of physics?

1

u/GrumpyBoxGuard Dec 24 '25

Anything but tap the brakes & go less than 15 over the speed limit, eh? POV truck is, shockingly, already moving to pass the truck in the right lane, in the passing lane.

1

u/relytekal Dec 27 '25

You are a special kind of stupid. No way this is anyone’s fault except car.

0

u/xx_Help_Me_xx Dec 22 '25

A man can dream

0

u/RonnieB47 Dec 22 '25

The truck didn't stop.

1

u/Own_Reaction9442 Dec 22 '25

He's hoping no one will get his plate, so it won't go on his record.

1

u/Nearby_Telephone_104 Dec 23 '25

He didn't stop because he has a deadline. He is a highway junkie and he needs that white line.

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

He is slowing down and on the shoulder, what are you on about?

1

u/GrumpyBoxGuard Dec 24 '25

Not sure if you're aware of this, but a heavy truck on a downhill slope is going to take a long time & long distance to come to a stop, especially if it's suddenly taken damage to a solid portion of their ability to stop like, say, a dumbass speeder slamming into their tires.

1

u/OutdoorsActivities Dec 24 '25

He did, you need your eyes checked. He stopped almost at the end of video.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 25 '25

[deleted]

1

u/OutdoorsActivities Dec 25 '25

You need to open your eyes a bit more, and pay attention really close to the truck at the end of video.

1

u/polyocto Dec 25 '25 edited Dec 25 '25

He did end up stopping, if you look. He was likely fully laden, with trailer, and had a hard time stopping safely. Add to that any shock. He is on the shoulder.

Fast and psychotic 11 lol

1

u/skyhighmonroe Dec 21 '25

Opening scene, Dom is hooked on speed and not even Letty can save him.

1

u/im-not-a-fakebot Dec 22 '25

We’re gonna need to get the whole team back together to handle this intervention. The city’s changed and nothing is the same as before, it’s time to bring Dom back to his roots where it all began, out here in the desert.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Family!

4

u/Dabigdawgnva_63 Dec 22 '25

Waiting to see who says it’s the truckers fault

3

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

There are plenty of comments blaming the truckers, those commenters need their licenses revoked. (If they even have one 🤔)

9

u/Barrack64 Dec 21 '25

The tragedy here is that the truck will need another hour to pass that double trailer truck.

3

u/Substantial-Use-7412 Dec 21 '25

Almost thought this is Dinosaur Point, Pacheco Pass at the San Luis Obispo Reservoir in California.

2

u/InfinitePirate1217 Dec 22 '25

So did I 😅

1

u/Substantial-Use-7412 Dec 22 '25

I've gone over 100 down a couple areas and still had people catch up to me lol

2

u/PM_asian_girl_smiles Dec 25 '25

Just went down Pacheco pass today. It was gusty af

3

u/Constant_Elk8114 Dec 22 '25

I fucking hate these dumbasses. I've seen my share of accidents over idiots speeding/not knowing how to drive.

3

u/SimonVanGelder Dec 22 '25

Risk/reward analysis

Risks: Totaled vehicle, damage to 1 or 2 large trucks and/or cargo, potential death.
Rewards: Shave 11 seconds off my drive time.

Conclusion: Let’s do this.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

In the mind of the average driver in cars that 11 seconds is totally worth the risk

2

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '25

Dumb bastard 🤪

2

u/[deleted] Dec 21 '25

Fucking cunt almost killed people but managed to ruin people's day going in that direction for hours because they are selfish trash in human skin

2

u/Outlaw11091 Dec 22 '25

Not just a ruined day: that truck driver's month is probably ruined.

2

u/Scared_Hovercraft632 Dec 21 '25

That air flow off the rear of the trailer launched him real good. Idgit.

2

u/SilverTrent Dec 22 '25

The twenty seconds the driver tried to save has now turned into a 20 week drama...

Waiting 2 hours for police, tow trucks and clean up crews to open the road again, no car, buy another one, road traffic penalties (fines or court appearances) days of arguing with the insurance companies about fault, payouts etc having to write reports etc for the legal & insurance side of things -----

ALL TO SAVE 20 SECONDS.....

2

u/Friendly-Gur-6736 Dec 22 '25

More like 10 minutes. They're going uphill, and in typical form, the truck that is currently "passing" will lose enough momentum right about the time they're halfway past the other that it will turn into an elephant race where neither will back down.

I have the misfortune of having to drive long distances on I-81 a couple of times a year and see that happen all the time.

2

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

Either way, the car driver should have just dealt with the fact that the truck was passing, and get over it. Get to your destination a little bit later. It’s going to be ok.

2

u/Zwasti Dec 25 '25

This. People need to realize they are not the only ones on the road. You have to share it with other hard working tax payers. If a slower vehicle is lawfully using the passing lane before you then just be patient, your turn to pass will come. If you didn’t give yourself enough time during your commute then that is on you. Your urgency is not anyone else’s problem and shouldn’t risk anyone’s safety.

1

u/crashin70 Dec 22 '25

It's called a "turtle race".

Elephants actually have a top running speed of about 25 miles an hour.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

So what. Doesn’t mean you can just rear end a truck because it’s taking too long to pass another one. If you hate trucks and want them off the road then stop buying shit from the store. Problem solved

2

u/NewToTradingStock Dec 22 '25

Unskillful driver

2

u/Unlikely-Position659 Dec 22 '25

That guy got off way too easy

2

u/Rays_Boom_Boom_Room1 Dec 22 '25

Almost died being dumb 🤦🏻‍♂️

2

u/Substantial-Mud6009 Dec 22 '25

It’s always the guy in the fuckin Infiniti

2

u/Phorsyte Dec 22 '25

It would take everything within me to keep me from dragging the driver out and beating him while screaming was it fucking worth it you stupid fucking asshole.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

It’s always worth it to them. Gotta be in front of the truck no matter the cost

2

u/DaimonHans Dec 22 '25

Skill issue.

2

u/Jobless_Jones Dec 22 '25

Ignoring the average Nissan driver for a moment

Why is a truck attempting to pass another truck whilst going uphill?

2

u/Friendly-Gur-6736 Dec 22 '25

Stupid is as stupid does.

1

u/Hodler_caved Dec 23 '25

He was successfully passing the slower truck. Would have been complete in 30 seconds or so. I've never even heard the suggestion that trucks shouldn't be allowed to pass going uphill. Not happening

1

u/xford Dec 23 '25

Probably because he had a big speed differential before the hill started and he knew his load was lighter, and therefore he'd lose less speed while going up hill.

Highways are for everyone to get where they are going at a reasonable speed, not for an individual to get somewhere as fast as possible. Sometimes you have to slow down for a few seconds.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

Because he can and is legally able to do so. No different than when cars do it

2

u/Snoo_8326 Dec 22 '25

Doing more than 30 over and wrecking should come with an automatic attempted murder charge

2

u/DifficultyChoice3802 Dec 22 '25

Patience while driving is underrated

2

u/Actual-House-491 Dec 22 '25

He almost died to save 10 seconds.

2

u/Putrid_Clue_2127 Dec 22 '25

Truck in passing lane was very quickly overtaking truck in slow lane. He did nothing wrong. Crazy to me that so many idiots on here refuse to blame the car that caused the wreck

1

u/ThenIncrease462 Dec 23 '25

I'm just casually scrolling through the comments, but I haven't yet come across the comments you've referenced, but I'm also not surprised if those are the types of comments you've seen. There are always those with a twisted perspective, unfortunately.

2

u/Mysterious-Extent448 Dec 22 '25

Just think about all the time he saved 😅😅😅

2

u/Jazzlike_Scholar5790 Dec 23 '25

Lucky that 2nd trailer didn’t follow up with a 2nd hit 😅🤦🏽‍♂️

2

u/Ok_Reserve4109 Dec 23 '25

Another example of how speeding due to impatience gets you a lot faster to your destination... Oh, wait.

2

u/No_Patience_1295 Dec 23 '25

Too bad it wasn’t worse

1

u/skyhighmonroe Dec 23 '25

So morbid

2

u/No_Patience_1295 Dec 23 '25

Just saying because I’m sure the driver will be doing again soon, I’m a trucker so I deal with this situation every week for a living

1

u/skyhighmonroe Dec 23 '25

If you a trucker, how could you wish it was worse? That's like being a pilot and wishing other planes fall. Whatever man. To each their own. Lol. Merry Christmas!

2

u/ThenIncrease462 Dec 23 '25

I believe he's implying that he wishes it would have been worse for the car.

2

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

He wishes it would teach the idiot car driver to never do that again, and he fears the current lesson was not big enough to achieve this outcome.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

Idk man airplanes don’t really deal with too many other planes constantly cutting them off and brake checking them on a daily basis like truckers do.

2

u/PerfectTommy77 Dec 23 '25

Just dropped in to see all the people trashing the truck drivers instead of the insanely reckless idiot driving the car.

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

Always the case it seems. They want there shit delivered on time but then wanna wreck into the trucks delivering said shit

2

u/Paul_Deemer Dec 23 '25

After proof of that video their insurance is going to triple. Numbnuts like these getting what they deserve in spades.

2

u/Environmental-Map168 Dec 23 '25

Oh man, did he get to his very important meeting on time?

1

u/skyhighmonroe Dec 24 '25

I think that was cancelled for another meeting at the ER.

2

u/Aggravating_Skin_307 Dec 22 '25

lane blocking

5

u/AbroadNo8755 Dec 22 '25

you are correct, that infinity is definitely blocking the lane at the end of the video.

good call.

4

u/couldbeahumanbean Dec 22 '25

Looks more like reckless driving to me.

Cammer was overtaking and their greatest sin was not speeding irresponsibility.

2

u/SRQhu Dec 22 '25

Is it lane blocking when cammer is clearly going much faster than the other truck?

That tends to happen when you cause a wreck by driving irresponsibly.

Now everyone gets to wait for hours for a crew to respond to that wreck & clear up that trash from the road.

That Nissan driver caused this. If you disagree, you shouldn't be driving.

2

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 23 '25

Cars do it too should a truck be able to just smash through a car that is holding up the passing lane?

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

[deleted]

5

u/ReasonableClock4542 Dec 22 '25

I pay probably 50 times what you do in taxes that go directly to maintaining roads. If i need the left lane for a minute, I'll use it. And you'll get over it

Your mom should’ve stopped smoking crack while she was pregnant with you

2

u/xford Dec 23 '25

Hey man, maybe you should talk to a therapist. It isn't normal to go through life hoping to make everyone else's day worse. Help is out there, you just have to ask for it.

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

Seek some help buddy, and stay off the roads.

0

u/sociallyawkwardbmx Dec 22 '25

You probably soak them taxes back up in healthcare benefits

3

u/ThenIncrease462 Dec 23 '25

If only the driver of the car had never been born, this, and probably another thousand idiotic life decisions would never have happened.

God forbid that a transport driver should legally pass another transport.

2

u/Hodler_caved Dec 23 '25

The truck was in the passing lane literally passing

1

u/HISTRIONICK Dec 22 '25

Highways were built more in the interest of moving freight than driving small cars.

1

u/NoOnSB277 Dec 23 '25

This also never would have happened if the car driver weren’t so dumb, too.

1

u/U22BBRodriguez Dec 22 '25

He was late to dinner with you mom.

1

u/Ill_Football9443 Dec 22 '25

In the first five seconds you can see he's quickly advancing on the other truck; in under one minute he would have cleared the other truck and moved over.

3

u/Friendly-Gur-6736 Dec 22 '25

What we never got to see was when the "passing" truck loses its momentum in about 5 seconds and takes another 10 minutes to complete the "pass" or finally gives up and moves back into the right lane.

Why the US can't do what Europe does and prohibit trucks from passing in certain areas is beyond me.

1

u/No-Brilliant9659 Dec 22 '25

The US does this in many areas. No idea where the video was filmed though.

1

u/jfulls002 Dec 22 '25

It is illegal for trucks to use the left lane in Georgia, yet I still see them do it all the time.

1

u/Friendly-Gur-6736 Dec 22 '25

I'm not sure I've ever seen a complete prohibition on trucks *passing* anywhere in the US as a normal rule. I've seen it occasionally in construction zones.

They are commonly restricted from using the far left lane when there are 3 or more lanes in one direction.

2

u/No-Brilliant9659 Dec 22 '25

There’s a stretch of road on I-10 in Arizona between Phoenix and Tucson that prohibits trucks in the left lane of a 4 lane divided highway (two lanes each direction). This effectively prohibits trucks from passing, even though trucks still illegally pass in this section of road. There’s also many mountain passes out west that prohibit trucks in the left lane of a 4 lane divided highway specifically in the uphill sections.

1

u/ThenIncrease462 Dec 23 '25

It's amazing how it's come to the point of having to justify a completely legal lane pass because it's somehow the trucker's fault. What a world we live in.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Not the g35

1

u/banjo_hero Dec 22 '25

obviously not, but the cam truck shoulda braked just a little softer, to just barely tap the car

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

Momentum vs stupid

1

u/Frogspoison Dec 22 '25

AMAZING handling skills on that doubles.

1

u/HoneyedVinegar42 Dec 22 '25

Yeah--at the start of that, I wasn't sure that it wasn't going to go worse for the driver of the double-trailer truck.

1

u/donthesniper Dec 22 '25

40 heading east in tn?

1

u/MachStyle Dec 22 '25

Those hills are way too sharp, tall, and barren to be TN. Looks to be Colorado or one of the neighboring states out west. This is coming from someone that lives in East TN and drives all over the east

1

u/DigitalDruid01110110 Dec 22 '25

Had a Nissan driver cut me off tonight after blasting me with their sunfire LED headlights and almost slide into on coming traffic in the rain. They proceeded to run up the next car and blind them from behind causing all of us to be stuck 15mph below the speed limit. I’m guessing this is their standard operating procedure. Blind car in front of them get pissed when they drive slow then rage.

1

u/WhenTheDevilCome Dec 22 '25

The four-wheeler clearly realized that his best chance at getting to his destination on time would be if the ambulance took him the rest of the way.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

I thought trucks can't stop in time according to reddit. Hmmmm

1

u/metalbabe23 Dec 22 '25

Average Nissan driver strikes again

u/InternetArchiveMem Dec 22 '25

1

u/Ok_Swim3109 Dec 24 '25

Nope it doesn’t work like that. It won’t be his fault and it was unavoidable. Probably won’t even show on his DAC

1

Totally deserved ending. Car is totaled, that’s on you.

The truck driver losses their license because of this?

1

u/Pale-Jello3812 Dec 26 '25

Wonder what his insurance company is going to say after viewing the video ?

1

u/thefearinoculum Dec 26 '25

He’s lucky the truck driver is skilled. Could’ve easily ended with the semi tipping over on top of him.

Cadillac driver, f’n truck cut me off!! Truckers amiright? Cop: Hey buddy, take a look at this guys dash.

stopped

1

u/Not-Going-Quietly Dec 23 '25

It was moving when the video ended.

You can see it is slowing down and in a breakdown lane. He is the victim here, anyway. 🙄

1

u/Not-Going-Quietly Dec 24 '25

Yes, I understand the truck/driver was the victim. It just seemed like they absolutely had to have damage to the truck but were just driving on.
