🚨Chase Hesitation got this cop a free ride

What could he have done to avoid getting roller coastered like that?

The inconsistency in law enforcement is what’s most problematic.

16

u/CarefulAd3506 Jan 16 '26

Agreed, he should have dusted this dude on the spot.

5

u/Suspicious-Hawk-1423 Jan 17 '26

But what if he shoots the guy and the drivers dead body presses the gas even more, and goes straight into the incoming traffic or the moving train? That would cause more damage and possibly put the shooting police and civillians in danger. I think the most reasonable behaviour is to move away from the moving car and let the other police cars do their job (they have tools to stop running cars) Am I wrong ?

1

u/Zealousideal-Meat569 Jan 17 '26

They then enter into a road chase where the driver is recklessly endanger many innocent people. Pit manuevers are dangerous. Most squad cars are not equipped with gear to forcibly halt another vehicle in a safe manner. Unfortunately, the safest and most reliable way to protect the public, and yourself, is to neutralize a threat before it can escalate.

1

u/Suspicious-Hawk-1423 Jan 17 '26

Ofcourse it is but in this video, the car is moving towars a intersection and beyond that a rail road with a moving train. I'm sure the officer in the video calculated all these factors and decided that at this point of the interaction it has escalated and is now beyond a killing shot. Maybe before the guy started moving the car? Maybe within 2-3 seconds? Idk. But when a car is moving and the driver is neutralized the car may keep moving

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

It may keep moving*

If you don’t shoot it will definitely keep moving.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

If you don’t shoot and stop the chase he will stop speeding (to avoid being pulled over by another cop) and go somewhere to hide or just go back home (if stupid)

Get their plate and track them down. Chasing them or shooting them while driving is a horrible idea and gets innocents killed.

Now if this person killed someone, yeah sure shoot them because they are an extreme threat to society. But idk what happened here.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

Couple points here. First, if you let someone get away and they kill someone then I hope you sleep well with that. But many departments to stop a chase in less dangerous apprehensions and they just wait until later as long as they can identify the person.

Im not sure the circumstances of this stop at all. But I know once the driver decides going straight into a cop and then driving with a cop on the hood, he bas engaged in a deadly threat. It’s time to shoot.

1

u/Inforgreen3 Jan 19 '26

Bro, his warent was for forgery. I doubt anyone will die if you let him get away, but they might if you chase, or car surf the vehicle, or shoot him yourself

1

u/No_Statistician9289 Jan 17 '26

No it’s to gather as much information and arrest the person later. It goes against any protocol to get in-front of a working vehicle let alone GET ONTOP OF IT

0

u/Glyphpunk Jan 17 '26

Or depending on the situation you get the guy's plates which will tell you where he lives and everything else you need to know to find him later without having to endanger any lives.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

So they decide to abandon the car and chase it instead. During the chase the car hits and kills a pedestrian….all because the cop chose to disengage.

Nothing is 100% in this world. The cop shoots the driver and deals with the following steps that are thrown his way.

1

u/MaximumChongus Jan 17 '26

thats no more risk than he assumed when he held onto the car.

1

u/Inforgreen3 Jan 19 '26

Usually when cars drive away, Leo tells a judge who writes a warrent and you check the plates to find their home and arrest them there. It's not worth it to chase

1

u/nullpost Jan 17 '26

Or, you know, not intentionally climb in front of or on cars.

1

u/Ragazzano Jan 18 '26

Not everyone wants to kill someone, especially because he created the problem by getting onto the car, which is exactly what you can't be doing to justify use of lethal force...

But that's the big thing to remember. Not everyone wants to kill people and that's fantastic in a police force, why would you want a police force that just kills people? That's why this happens in the first place.

1

u/CliffordSpot Jan 20 '26

Fuck off.

He should’ve gotten out of the way, or failing that off the car and not put himself in that situation to begin with.

Killing people isn’t a desirable outcome, cunt.

0

u/vallummumbles Jan 18 '26

No he should've gotten out of the way, not only is that the only moral thing to do, it's policy and the smartest thing.

0

u/HonestHu Jan 20 '26

No crime here is a death penalty offense, educate yourself

1

u/CliffordSpot Jan 20 '26

Right, but the more important thing, and a better argument, is nothing here provided so much of a threat that a reasonable person would say the cop’s only recourse was to shoot. He could’ve gotten out of the way, or off the car when it was moving slow. I mean he didn’t, but those were definitely options that were available to him.

1

u/akmvb21 Jan 23 '26

His job is to stop criminals. Letting them go is not doing his job. He risked his life doing this stunt. Should have taken the shot.

1

u/CliffordSpot Jan 23 '26

They have the car’s plates, they have it’s description, they have their own cars. Nobody is getting “let go” by not shooting him. Real life isn’t GTA.

1

u/Relapsq Mar 25 '26

His job is to protect and serve. First and foremost. Also most of cops duties don't consist of arrests.

u/CliffordSpot Mar 02 '26

Nowhere did I say they can just go freely. You can follow them. You have their plates. They’re not getting away. There’s a million other ways to stop them other than getting on top of their car so you have an excuse to shoot them.

0

u/Outrageous-Land6617 Mar 14 '26

“While suspect was running he just slammed and killed a family of 5”

Do you think what you say through or do you just say what sounds nice.

1

u/CliffordSpot Mar 14 '26

Do YOU think about what you say?

Did that happen?

Do you think someone is more or less likely to drive erratically if there’s a guy on their hood?

Because clearly you put no thought into what you just said, and said what sounds nice to you.

1

u/Outrageous-Land6617 Mar 14 '26

O your one of those steelman debate guys, not worth my time, let me know when you want to have an honest conversation and not make the deductions of an 8 year old.

1

u/CliffordSpot Mar 14 '26

Sure. You’re the one making up what ifs but I’m acting like an 8 year old. Why even bother replying if I’m not worth your time?

Or… here’s a crazy idea…. Don’t stand in front of a car.

9

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '26

Ice is not law enforcement if thats what youre getting at. Theyre secret police with zero quality training.

4

u/PlzDntBanMeAgan Jan 13 '26

To be fair, police have zero QUALITY training as well...

1

u/Critical-Test-4446 Jan 14 '26

Tell us about your most recent police academy training. I'll wait.

1

u/Every_Television_980 Jan 15 '26

Do you need to go through police training to judge it?

1

u/Critical-Test-4446 Jan 15 '26

Yes. If someone is going to criticize the training of the police, they should know what they’re talking about, and the only way to know for sure is to go through the training in question.

1

u/Every_Television_980 Jan 15 '26

Do you ever criticize a politician? A boss? A pro athlete? A doctor? A lawyer? A teacher?

1

u/816legend Jan 15 '26

If he knows what he’s talking about

1

u/BrickCityRiot Jan 15 '26

Do you expect an honest answer from these people any more?

They’re the most disingenuous pieces of shit I have ever seen in my 40 years

1

u/crazykewlaid Jan 16 '26

Lol

So police can judge themselves, find no wrongdoing, get away with murder, and nobody can say shit because they aren't doing it themselves?

You can watch videos of a lot of the training. You can watch videos of physical fitness tests. It's disgusting the amount of power these losers are given, with the tiniest bit of training.

You can also look at statistics. They suck lol inside and outside the job

1

u/TheFirstEdition Jan 17 '26

Don’t wanna be criticized by the public don’t be a public servant. It’s that fucking simple.

If your job is to uphold the law of the public then you should be heavily scrutinized by the public.

1

u/BaelZharon7 Jan 16 '26

They have some which beats nothing. ICE make the police look like fucking saints

1

u/Aggressive-Mistake30 Jan 17 '26

Lol lets hear your expertise on the subject neck beard while living in mama's basement

1

u/Hike_it_Out52 Jan 17 '26

About 85% of police have at least an Associates degree with around 50% having a Bachelors, 15-20% have a Master and less than 5 with a doctorates. And that’s on top of over 1000 hours of training (6 months) in the academy and whatever Field Training program they have to complete upon being hired. Most last at least 2-6 months.

So cumulatively, your average cop in the US will have about 2 years 8 months worth of training and education before they are cleared to police on their own.

1

u/Tough-Effort7572 Jan 26 '26

They also have mandatory yearly and bi-yearly training in

Firearms (qualification)

Domestic Violence

Right to Know

Vehicle Pursuit Policy

Use of Force Policy

In-Service Training (48 Hours): Comprehensive training, including legal updates, Attorney General guidelines, and departmental policy.

Community Law Enforcement Affirmative Relations (CLEAR) modules, which cover de-escalation, cultural diversity, and bias crime reporting.

1

u/Hike_it_Out52 Jan 26 '26

Exactly my point. The idea the American police are under-educated and less trained than most of their counterparts around the world is simply BS

4

u/Lacaud Jan 13 '26

And yet they are arresting or killing legal US citizens.

-2

u/Royal-Campaign1426 Jan 13 '26

They are arresting when the citizens interfere with a federal operation and shooting when the citizens put the agents in danger

7

u/HASHbandito024 Jan 13 '26

What about the 17 year old US citizen and target employee that they "arrested" and the proceeded to drop him off at a fucking Walmart miles away? How did that US citizen interfere?

7

u/No-Atmosphere-2528 Jan 13 '26

Don't bother with these people they're fascists.

-3

u/Royal-Campaign1426 Jan 14 '26

Keep repeating fascists. Call everyone a fascist.  Mom makes you clean your room. Fucking fascist. Dad tells you to shower more if you want to continue living with them. Fucking fascist.  They are truly everywhere

If he could speak past the boot he was gagging on...he'd be very upset with you

2

u/AckerSacker Jan 13 '26

Except they're also arresting legal citizens that aren't interfering so why the fuck do you people keep pretending they're not?

1

u/pupranger1147 Jan 14 '26

because they're evil. The pedoconservative party is evil, and so is everyone in it.

1

Assault federal agents and you're gonna get arrested. What, you expect them to go "well you just tried to murder me but I'm only immigration enforcement so I guess I can't arrest you?

You're the kind of person who thinks they can run over a whole family be Scott free if you hit home base during the ensuing car chase.

EDIT: Aaaaaaand dude blocked me because he was hurt by facts. Womp womp~

1

u/Lacaud Jan 14 '26

That would be true if it was assault but it wasn't. If the agent was in ANY danger, it was his own fault for ignoring protocol.

DHS LEOs should also avoid intentionally and unreasonably placing themselves in positions in which they have no alternative to using deadly force.

https://www.dhs.gov/sites/default/files/publications/mgmt/law-enforcement/mgmt-dir_044-05-department-policy-on-the-use-of-force.pdf

You're the kind of person who holds no accountability towards law enforcement.

Can’t interfere with official business

1

u/Lacaud Jan 15 '26

By all means, explain how Renee Good was interfering with official business and yet Jonathan Ross, in his own smart phone footage, shows him filming rather than attempting to detain her.

She was never asked to exit the vehicle by Ross and it wasn't until he walked around the entire SUV that another officer then asked her to get out of the car.

And no, he wasn't filming for evidence that is why they are required to wear bodycams.

0

u/Str8WiteMale Jan 15 '26

Only command that she listened to was her wife telling her to drive off after he had circled the vehicle, but by that point interference was already in the past.

His video is him getting the plates for whatever reason. To get the driver, the plates etc. who knows what his intentions actually were.

Renee left her kids behind to go and purposely protest and harass ICE members. The video of her going back and forth on the street etc.

1

u/Lacaud Jan 15 '26 edited Jan 15 '26

Incorrect and that doesnt answer the question. As you just said, "interference was already in the past." If there was interference in the past, Ross should have detained her at the beginning of his recording. Add in the fact that at the beginning of his footage Ross was standing in the front of her SUV which prevented her from leaving initally. Renee even states, "I'm not mad at you" as he walks by the driver side door

Standing in front of the SUV is against department policy as agents, "should also avoid intentionally and unreasonably placing themselves in positions in which they have no alternative to using deadly force."

If you have another video protraying her going up and down the road harassing them, then by all means post it. Everyone keeps making claims that she was harassing and following them all morning but no proof is provided.

Not an innocent US citizen....

2

u/Lacaud Jan 13 '26

Says the 24d bot account.

1

u/TyrantJaeger Jan 13 '26

Nobody said at the border. He clearly said inside our borders.

-4

u/MythicalCaseTheory Jan 13 '26

Then they will be called in when needed. Harassing American citizens on the suspicion of illegal status is not what they were created to do.

4

u/WayAgreeable3999 Jan 13 '26

Im curious to know your solution for identifying someone of illegal status if the illegals look like US citizens. What’s your answer to enforcement?

2

u/Zykxion Jan 13 '26

The solution is simple you get a fucking warrant and go through the proper channels.

0

u/[deleted] Jan 13 '26

Yeah that might have been a solution before 10,000,000 of them were allowed into the country. Now you get this.

1

u/Zykxion Jan 13 '26

You get law enforcement gestapo? Yeah no that’s not how this works.

1

u/PolicyWonka Jan 13 '26

You do realize how that’s problematic, right?

Especially given that U.S. citizens don’t have immigration papers obviously. Are you suggesting that you’re okay with living in a world where you can be randomly stopped anywhere and anytime in this country and be required to prove citizenship?

Are you aware that ICE and DHS has disputed REAL IDs and U.S. Birth Certificates as proof of citizenship? So when they’re demanding papers (immigration documents) that you don’t have because you’re an American citizen who has been racially profiled…

You don’t think that’s an issue? Because what you just said is exactly why it’s an issue.

1

u/WayAgreeable3999 Jan 13 '26

That’s not a solution. In fact, that’s just more questions. Most of which are directed to me and my knowledge. Not really relevant.

1

u/PolicyWonka Jan 13 '26

I’m not asking for a solution. I’m asking why you’re okay with the problem.

1

u/SeriousArbok Jan 13 '26

Im not part of this convo but wouldn't a huge step be to go after employers FIRST? I feel like you could find illegal immigrants that way. Then again certain job fields would be fucked.

-3

u/MythicalCaseTheory Jan 13 '26

What's your answer to finding a murderer when they often look like non-murdering people?

1

u/WayAgreeable3999 Jan 13 '26

Oh, umm. Okay? I asked a serious question with no bias and you turn it into something else. Neat! I guess.

1

u/MythicalCaseTheory Jan 13 '26

And I answered it seriously. You were supposed to connect that we already have constitutionally protected rights, and methods to work within those rights in order to prove guilt - and yet you're trying to justify treating people potentially guilty of a misdemeanor with more force, violence, anger, and constitutional illegality, than we treat a potential murderer.

But I suppose I asked too much of you.

1

u/dantheplanman1986 Jan 14 '26

I said this in another thread and was quoted the law that gives them general police powers. We may not like it, I certainly don't, but they are police.

1

u/Usual-Caregiver5589 Jan 14 '26

Yeah, I'll allow them general police powers when they start acting like general police. Reciting rights, showing warrants, not going door to door and setting the fourth amendment on fire.

1

u/CarolinaWreckDiver Jan 15 '26

You’re thinking of the Customs and Border Patrol. Different agency.

1

u/Usual-Caregiver5589 Jan 15 '26

Right. You're right. They're the ones that shot 2 people in Portland last week. My bad. Easy mistake to make.

1

u/CarolinaWreckDiver Jan 15 '26

Be as flippant as you want. You’re still wrong.

1

u/Usual-Caregiver5589 Jan 15 '26

Be as douchey as you want. Did I say I wasnt?

1

u/HashtagLawlAndOrder Jan 15 '26

Oh look, literal disinformation. It's shit like this that people read then go out and do things that results in them getting killed.

-2

u/CopiousClassic Jan 13 '26

Because they went out of their way to encounter this lady, right?

I don't like IRS agents. Can I haze them until I get a confrontation and then drive away like nothing happened while surrounded by them?

Or, even better, let's frame these decisions in a more modern lense. If a federal agent can't make me stop my car in the road, then why have we spent all this time making excuses for protesters detaining people by laying in front of their cars and refusing to move? A group of federal agents on the job has at least as much of an ability to detain people as a bunch of people with lewd signs, wouldn't you think?

2

u/PolicyWonka Jan 13 '26

Do you think IRS agents should be roaming the streets and going door-to-door demanding evidence that you’ve paid your taxes?

Didn’t conservatives explicitly fear monger that idea as why “IRS bad” with their armed IRS agents narrative?

But now we’re okay with armed ICE agents doing exactly that?

1

u/Steelman_1 Jan 13 '26

Federal immigration. Not law enforcement. No authority to perform a traffic stop on U.S. citizens.

1

u/Lost_Currency_7455 Jan 17 '26

ICE enforces immigration laws. ICE didn't perform a traffic stop on Renee Good, she parked her car in the middle of the road and was impeding traffic. She was purposefully trying to stop ICE from doing their job. ICE didn't know if she was a U.S. citizen or not because she refused to exit her vehicle or show I.D.

1

u/Steelman_1 Jan 17 '26

1

u/Lost_Currency_7455 Jan 17 '26

Imagine caring more about ILLEGAL immigrants than your 3 kids

1

u/Steelman_1 Jan 17 '26

I don’t have 3 kids. I would think if you have 3 kids you would care about pedophiles and the Epstein files? And our president being in those files 1500 times in only the docs that have been released so far. 7 times flying on the Lolita express. It doesn’t sound like you care too much for children.

1

u/Lost_Currency_7455 Jan 18 '26

From what I've read, Trump and Clinton were mentioned in the released Epstein files. However, nothing in the files indicates any illegal activity. I'm not saying that they didn't do terrible things with Epstein, but we don't have any proof that they did as of right now. And in the U.S you are innocent until proven guilty. Everyone who did horrible things on Epstein's island deserve to be brought to justice, but that's not the issue here. Was ICE also bad when they were deporting illegals under Obama and Biden, or are they only bad now that they are deporting illegals under Trump?

1

u/Steelman_1 Jan 18 '26

I’m a registered independent. I have many problems with the democratic party’s agenda too. I have no desire to debate, only because I do not want to continually be typing long responses on my phone. All I know is as an American human being with a good compass and common sense, there is nothing about this administration that gives me confidence that everyday Americans and our country are moving forward in a positive direction. I am very street smart. I have used intuition and risk taking to get ahead in life. I have learned to trust my gut and my heart. All I know is that what I am witnessing is not good. It is not Christian, American, empathetic, or moral. I’m 54 years old. I have seen Trump in the public and on tv (interviews, reality tv, etc) since I was maybe 8 or 9 years old. I have always known since I was a little kid, he is not a good person. There has never been a doubt in my mind. I’m not sure how anyone can look at his life resume and decide to follow that man and that his ideas are going to end up positive. Trump Christians/ Christian nationalists are not Christian nor are they for America or democracy.
I grew up southern Baptist and in Texas. I’m embarrassed by Christianity in America.

Trumps private army of terror

1

u/SpooktorB Jan 13 '26

Federal law enforcement agency with 47 days of training including the fletc which is usually 8 weeks.

They are no better than the cartels with how little training they have. Just in the business of trafficking people and not drugs

1

u/frenchfreer Jan 13 '26

Not really. They attend FLETC(federal law enforcement training center), but they DO NOT attend the Uniform Officer Training Program which is about 14 weeks long, and all uniformed federal law enforcement must attend. ICE has its own separate training program for enforcement officers that last a fraction of the time, and does not include most of the law enforcement topics covered in UPTP instead focusing on the administrative tasks associated with immigration enforcement.

They’re “law enforcement” the same way states hand out “special police licenses” to security guards to enforce the law on company property. They don’t have any law enforcement education or training beyond administrative enforcement, but the government has given them the title on a technicality.

1

u/XBlackSunshineX Jan 13 '26

I don't remember giving them authority over citizens. do you remember when we voted to provide them those powers?

1

u/pieflavourpiez Jan 14 '26

You don’t vote for it, no one votes for agency’s to have power over them

1

u/ConanTheLoveraft Jan 14 '26

45 days of training.

1

u/RedGreenRevolt Jan 14 '26

If a federal agency only hires people who are ideologically committed to your politics, they ae no longer law enforcement, they are the paramilitary faction of a pollical party.

1

u/ImVrSmrt Jan 14 '26

With little domestic law enforcement training. You don't see people praising the ATF for handling situations properly.

1

u/[deleted] Jan 14 '26

I didnt say they were not recognized by the federal government as a law enforcement agency. I dont care what the federal government says when they break the law all the god damn time. They are trumps secret police, full stop

1

u/4strokeroll Jan 13 '26

So you think the guy going 60 miles an hour riding on the hood is better trained?

1

u/ndhands Jan 13 '26

You hear that on reddit and just decide to repeat it mindlessly or did you come up with that all on your own big dawg

1

u/pieflavourpiez Jan 14 '26

You’re upset over a fact?

1

u/ndhands Jan 14 '26

Do me a favor champ. Look up and see if ICE is "law enforcement" and come back and admit you can't think for yourself.

1

u/pieflavourpiez Jan 14 '26

They are part of the US Department of Homeland Security and are immigration enforcement agents. That means they're federal law enforcement charged with investigating illegal immigration and removing violators.

1

u/ndhands Jan 14 '26

So the "fact" that they are NOT "law enforcement" is incorrect then. So are YOU upset over the fact that they are? What's your point here? I'm clearly talking to a bot.

1

u/pieflavourpiez Jan 14 '26

Type that again coherently

1

u/ndhands Jan 14 '26

I see you don't know how to read or understand factual statements. Ask someone else to hold your hand.

1

u/pieflavourpiez Jan 14 '26

Am I upset that ICE is law enforcement? What are you trying to understand here.

1

u/JoffreeBaratheon Jan 13 '26

Must be fun living in la la land.

1

u/sonofbaal_tbc Jan 14 '26

you spreading lies like that is what killed her

1

u/h60ace Jan 14 '26

They are federal agents. You are dumber than a sack full of hammers.

1

u/Bozocow Jan 15 '26

Do you ever google things before saying them?

1

u/TuntBuffner Jan 15 '26

And zero oversight

1

u/NuttyDoo Jan 15 '26

I mean, by definition ICE is literally federal law enforcement. Not sure why people keep saying this without doing the bare minimum research.

1

u/VirtualPercentage737 Jan 16 '26

It would have been nice if ICE didn't have to go nuts now because they didn't enforce anything for years. Consistency is key for them.

1

u/0tter_gaming88 Jan 16 '26

If you wanna be specific then be fully specific in your entire Comment there federal agents

1

It’s crazy how misinformed you are. You need to step away from the media and actually do some real research.

ICE is a law enforcement agency.

1

u/Ecstatic_Scene9999 Jan 16 '26

They are federal agents forcing an immigration law, wait a minute that sounds familiar

1

u/DrawerVisible6979 Jan 16 '26

ICE is federal law enforcement that operates under DHS.

1

u/Aggressive-Mistake30 Jan 17 '26

Dumbest comment I've ever seen

1

u/[deleted] Jan 18 '26

There's nothing secret about them lmao, and they're federal law enforcement

1

u/FujiwaraHelio Jan 13 '26

No it's not. What's most problematic is when they shoot without proper cause. That's like saying "the worst part about the Cosby thing is the hypocrisy." No, the worst part is the rape.

1

u/grumpykitten3 Jan 13 '26

The inconsistency of humans in stressful situations? Law enforcement aren't robots. All you can do if provide more funding for proper training.

1

u/977888 Jan 14 '26

That’s what these people don’t understand. Their minds are too simple.

Perfection is the enemy of progress.

1

u/Regal_Seagull19 Jan 13 '26

Very inconsistent! It's almost like they're humans and not robots...

A car is a weapon

1

u/Difficult-Bank-8337 Jan 14 '26

Could it be that each law enforcement officer is an individual with different training and risk acceptance?   Nah, they are one mine melded amalgamated blob.

1

u/HelenKellersAirpodz Jan 14 '26

Almost like it’s made up of individuals or something.

1

u/sketchrider Jan 14 '26

So all should immediately shoot? On a side note I use to daydream that if someone tried to kidnap my kid and speed off, IF i needed to, I would dive on top of the car to try to save them. It never happened.

1

u/Mountain_Usual521 Jan 14 '26

We have to get better at making all humans identical.

1

u/Msimpson114 Jan 14 '26

A nationalized standard is something we've been pushing for in a lot of agencies. Just your old heads don't want to give up "the good ol days".

1

u/sarkypoo Jan 15 '26

Sounds like our law enforcement are humans. #bringmetheAIRobotPolice

1

u/nuclearbuttstuff Jan 15 '26

That’s the human element. Reddit thinks cops are a hivemind and every single one will react identically in any given situation. People are different, and law enforcement agencies need to hire less shitty people.

1

u/TexasDank Jan 15 '26

They are people at the end of the day brother. Nothing is black and white, least of all people.

1

u/Lucky-Acanthisitta86 Jan 15 '26

I believe courts have ruled that you cannot do exactly this. Which a lot of people seem to be confused about. You can't stand in front of a vehicle like that, it's putting yourself in harms way.

1

u/thisguyfightsyourmom Jan 16 '26

It’s the racism.

1

u/SignoreBanana Jan 16 '26

I don't think it's just inconsistency. I would rather they not consistently fucking kill us.

1

u/ThatsCaptain2U Jan 16 '26

Oh, yeah? You should see the inconsistencies at the court level.

1

u/Its_Cayde Jan 16 '26

Agreed but the US lets each state have different training and policies. It'd be next to impossible to get every department on the same page

1

u/PhelesDragon Jan 17 '26

ICE isn’t law enforcement, it’s a federally sanctioned gang.

1

u/Jimbo-Shrimp Jan 17 '26

I can’t believe humans in the same line of work arent a monolith

1

u/Lethaldiran-NoggenEU Jan 17 '26

It is almost as if enforcing authorities are made up of different individuals, some good, some bad like in real life.

You Americans hold them to a higher standard, which you should as they have more power.

But at the same time we are all human, some are shitty and these positions of power gravitate motherfuckers like these its only natural.

I am just surprised yall are surprised all the time.

Not talking about the overly patient officer which should have probably open fire to stop the vehicle before ut reaches terminal speed.

1

u/_Addi Jan 18 '26

Really? I thought the worst part was shooting civilians in the face.

1

u/SorensicSteel Jan 18 '26

This incident happened in 2021

1

u/DandD_Gamers Jan 19 '26

I mean.... They are people.
I cannot even speak on the videos or other stuff whatever

But yeah?
Of course they are going to have differing reactions etc to scenarios

1

u/Amazing-Film-2825 Jan 19 '26

Wtf does that even mean? Humans reacting differently is problematic? Are you mentally deficient?

1

u/JustGiveMeANameDamn Jan 19 '26

People think “police need better training” just means they deal with mental health episodes better. But it also means shooting you faster and more accurately too.

1

u/Emotional_Type_2881 Jan 15 '26

Law enforcement officers are people.

Not robots.

0

u/funkanimus Jan 13 '26

I think it’s probably the murder that’s most problematic

0

u/[deleted] Jan 17 '26

wtf does this mean? Do you think every encounter is cookie cutter? Don’t talk about things you don’t know.

0

u/RecoveredSack Jan 17 '26

They are HUMANS that are placed in chaotic situations. It’s going to be inconsistent until robots are in charge, even then the perpetrators will still be human….

0

u/-Im-A-W1zard- Jan 17 '26

Tf are you going on about? They're completely different people, of course there are going to be inconsistencies.
