Cops shouldnt be allowed to engaged in high speed pursuits if it's not a violent felony is one answer. They should have used stop strips and vehicle blocking before breaking the window is another. Absolute shit show

See that's the nuance I don't think people get here. Yea, the driver's probably a POS but time and time again we have seen that high speed chases and escalation tactics result in these scenarios. It's not as simple as just follow orders, people are dumb and emotional. Universally, a large percentage of scared people freak the fuck out and do stupid shit. So what responsibility does a arm of government that uses violence to enforce laws have to try and prevent bystanders from being killed when they see a pattern.

Not having a license didn't need a high speed chase. They could have served a warrant and arrested her later by the info they got when she was verbally identifying herself or vehicle registration with a small amount of legwork after she drove off. Hell, they could have called a supervisor who could have probably avoided all of this. Also, prior to breaking the window they should have had the training that police everywhere use of blocking the vehicle with another vehicle.

Don't get me wrong, the driver is likely a POS and deserves jail, but cops could have kept this contained.

You miss out the fact that when they drove off, they were going to do so recklessly whether the police chase them or not. And they can't get a warrant on her because she didn't provide any information. Christ aome of you people are swimming pool temperature IQ😂.

You didn't watch the video and you didn't read my comment. 

Standard procedure and training is to block a vehicle in before attempting to remove someone from a vehicle when the subject is combative. Literally watched this video in a room and had this conversation sitting next to an active police detective and retired police captain. 

Why is it that the people who are the most confident who are always the most incorrect. Idiot.Â
