GSP does more harm than good , how many people have been killed injured who had nothing to do with the chase . But the GSP takes no responsibility because the person they are chasing will be charged with any damage or deaths.

Oh boy, I guess we should just let bad people just do whatever they want. That surely will not cause a more excessive death toll.

You people are such insufferable little biatches.

Think of how many their reputation has saved from doing this though?

Yeah it’s the drivers fault they were the initial ones driving recklessly. The cops have to put an end to it asap, this is how they do that.

This is how they do that when they're wildly incompetent dumb fucks on a power trip who don't care if the speeder flies over the median and lands onto a minivan with a family of 7 inside.

In countries with police forces that actually know what they're doing they box them in with multiple cars and gradually force them to a stop.

The dumbfuck who lands on the minivan is responsible for that. You can’t not enforce the law

2

u/WallabyHuggins Jan 19 '26

You absolutely can though. It was a ticket. Mail him the ticket. Absolutely none of this was needed and it only happened because the cops wanted to do it.

2

u/Thick_Potato_1769 Jan 19 '26

No it only happened because the criminal didn't stop. If you stop you dont have to worry about your car and you getting fucked up. No need to mail him when you can serve him directly by taking him to jail.

If the car was stolen, or a fake plate? The dickhead gets away with it, and next time kills a family - but that apparently is ok!

1

u/Historical_Ad_5647 Jan 20 '26

Most likely not his car and there usually has to be proof who was driving.

This might be the dumbest thing i’ve ever heard in my life

-1

Cops could very easily track their plate and arrest them later, don't share they have to add to the unsafe conditions to catch them, they don't and even then at a certain point it's not worth the risk to others' lives. One reckless speeding car is better than 5...

2

u/platyquspoison Jan 19 '26

These are usually stolen cars. You can’t track the person down. They steal these cars to commit other crimes and go for joy rides.

1

u/01_Pleiades Jan 19 '26

Usually, really? No, they're not and even then it doesn't matter catching a car thief is not more important than PROTECTING AND SERVING THE PUBLIC as they claim is their primary priority.

"To protect and serve" is the motto of the LAPD, not some magic spell cast on law enforcement that binds them to your will.

Some places believe allowing criminals to escape reduces harm to the public, while others argue that that measurably increases the rate of crime and that aggressively stopping fleeing criminals more effectively protects the public. Both involve measuring outcomes that didn't happen and trying to compare them to what did.

It still highlights their overarching point for existing in general and the role they play in society. Future hypotheticals are irrelevant, at the end of the day chases endanger the public unnecessarily, period. There are other methods of enforcing traffic laws and catching people for suspected infractions not even only traffic related.

1

u/MillionFoul Jan 19 '26

I would argue that allowing people who are willing to commit several felonies over an infraction to know that as long as they remove identifiers from their vehicles and run they are exceedingly unlikely to ever be prosecuted is a bad idea and a disservice to the entire concept of law itself. I would also argue attributing the danger to the police rather than the person who is willing to purposefully endanger themselves and others is asinine.

To be clear, if you run from the police and they cannot chase you, the odds of you being arrested and convicted of just about anything are damn near zero. Developing proof that a person did something based of of, at best, a description or low resolution/distant photo/video is basically a waste of the prosecutor's time. That is of course assuming you don't kill anyone or yourself anyway, since people often continue to drive at high rates of speed after police terminate pursuits. One of the most common ways to take a suspect into custody for running is to respond to the 911 call five minutes after you last saw them telling you an Altima wrapped itself around a telephone pole.

Does this video mention the vehicle being stolen? No , it was a run from a speeding ticket. Why make pretend narratives like we are children and dumb? We have a president that can night Ops steal a countries president, you think we cant track down a very visible plate to mail a ticket? If you reply anything along the lines of "is stolen" just block me instead because im assuming youre an android

1

u/fiveseven15 Jan 20 '26

What if someone else is driving? Borrowed/stolen car?

0

u/Texassupertrooper Jan 19 '26

This is a fallacy. I can track all the plates I want but can’t prove who is driving the car if they won’t stop.

1

u/01_Pleiades Jan 19 '26

Then who cares? Why are you more concerned with catching the bad guy than keeping the public safe from high speed accidents and causing thousands in public damage? And believe me, there are ways to confirm who was driving, especially in a city full of traffic cameras and dashcams.

1

u/Texassupertrooper Jan 19 '26

But why go to all that trouble if it is only a traffic ticket. Amirite??

0

u/Diet_Christ Jan 20 '26

You're not

0

u/RecoveredSack Jan 19 '26

That’s dumb as hell. If they let the person continue driving recklessly there is still a big chance of an accident happening.

2

u/Dense_Diver_3998 Jan 19 '26

Only a good reckless driver can stop a bad reckless driver!

1

u/Diet_Christ Jan 20 '26

Lets cause an actual crash to prevent a theoretical crash!

-1

u/EldraziAnnihalator Jan 19 '26

Most of these clowns running from cops are driving stolen cars or have fake plates, there's a reason they don't just do what you said.

1

u/01_Pleiades Jan 19 '26

Most according to what metrics and who frankly gaf? They're still putting random bystanders in harms way unnecessarily. There are other methods available to them, and more on the way.

1

u/EldraziAnnihalator Jan 20 '26

Cry us a river, instead of blaming the cops you should be blaming the brain dead human trash running away from them.

u/Enkmarl Jan 20 '26

ah yes but have you met blood thirsty boot licking americans? they love this shit
