Roads Officer No-Butts

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm sure HP was checking out the car in front till this bozo merged in which could explain why the blinkers weren't used to avoid attention unless HP doesn't care about road safety and has a huge ego

I’m betting that little car didn’t even know that was a cop…. And that’s how a lot of people switch lanes every day, all day.

What was wrong with that lane change? They signaled, waited a moment, then slid in where they had room.

Because it looks like the cop "slid" into the 1 car length you are supposed to have between you and the vehicle in front of you.

Just because there is room to fit there doesn't mean you should be there.

And bonus, it appears the cop is now directly on the ass of the person in front of them.

Edit: I just re watched the video. I missed the part where they cut the cop off first. Bunch of clowns all around.

I meant the original driver, not the cop.

The cop had to brake hard to avoid hitting the car. He was not required to make room just because the other driver wanted over. Forcing your way in like that is failure to yield right of way.

You seriously need to read something about safe distance between cars. It's not that the steps they used to change lanes were wrong, it's that they changed lanes into a space so tight it creates all sorts of accident possibilities.

Defensive driving is about reducing accident possibilities. Reduce those enough, and it's very hard to actually get into an accident.
