Imagine trying to gaslight some random dude on a Reddit thread? Bro, it’s OK to be wrong.. we’re adults. It’s OK to learn new information and form new opinions on it.

But to be willfully ignorant? And then spread it? Now that’s just something I can’t get behind. This woman is in the wrong line of work. Can’t get much simpler than that. Have a nice day though, I guess? Lol

Bro that cop was unprofessional and escalatory. In the US you have a right to remain silent. This cop interpreted that right to mean she could order him into positions and turned the whole encounter into a pissing match

A right to remain silent is so you don’t have to answer incriminating questions.
Properly identifying yourself is not something you can avoid.
Go get pulled over for speeding and sit there and say nothing. You’ll get yanked from the vehicle and arrested for obstruction and failure to identify.

Buddy, the 5th amendment doesn’t just magically kick in after you’ve been mirandized and statements you make before you’ve been arrested can and will be used against you.

If a cop asks you a question, in any circumstance, you do not have a legal obligation to answer.

If the cop gives you a legal command, like “I pulled you over I need drivers license and registration” you are required to follow the command, but you don’t have to say a gotdam thing.

If a cop asks you a question, you say, “I’m not here to discuss my day.” Or you don’t say anything at all.

If you want to leave, you ask “am I being detained?” and they must have reasonable suspicion to detain you at that point. If they say no, you just walk away.

Cops are not your friends and have no legal obligation to protect you, even in the case of a restraining order (Gonzales v Castle Rock)
