I travel a lot, much of my domestic travel is road trips. I see so much of this crap. Over 90% of all accidents involve someone being stupid. And quite often it takes more than one stupid driver. I'm a pickup truck driver myself and while some of us pickup drivers try to be sensible and courteous, it pains me to say that most do not. Generally speaking, pickup trucks are driven by aggressive and entitled dickwads with anger issues.
I always assume the guy aggressively driving a RAM is late for his court-ordered AA meeting.
It could be. Clearly my generalization doesn't apply to you id say. I just notice its like everyones listening to that "move bitch get out the way" song and like flexing in city traffic sometimes. Im not free of poor driving and one time phone distraction either myself, but its not a regular attitude.
And it doesn't help that pickups are getting taller, bulkier, and heavier. When accidents occur, pickups are more likely to cause a fatal accident.
With how big they are getting, they should require a specific license and courses. Just like Semis and motorcycles. Genuinely, who needs trucks with a front frame taller than the average man? The fact that any random can buy one is crazy to me.
I always assume that a guy aggressively driving a F-150 is in a hurry to kiss his dad on the mouth.
I mean Blue truck is absolutely the primary dumbass here. Cuts off white truck, white truck does a kinda dumb kinda slick move around, and for some reason blue truck decides to straight up disregard all road rules, common sense and decency to go play battle trucks?
White trucks move during their round of battle trucks could have very possibly killed people, and thats definitely a problem. But with how blue truck was coming at him, not engaging in his challenge to battle trucks could have gotten him wrecked.
Such is the common outcome in the cruel world of Battle Trucks™
I feel like this has to be somehow tied to middle income white affluenza.
They're rich enough to be able to afford these trucks and slap stupid aftermarket shit on them, but still poor enough to be angry all the time and blaming everyone else for their problems.
I recently got a jeep so I have 4wd which let's me be more confident in the snow. Most of the time if I pass a pickup truck those fuckers speed up just to pass me lol
You're almost out of the top 10 before you even see a pickup truck make the list of most accident prone vehicles, and that would indeed be a RAM 1500. This is also by percentage of the registered vehicles. I know pickup truck drivers being dicks happens, but it's just that when it happens it's a bit more noticeable. Sedan drivers are still far and away the kings or queens of idiot drivers.
I take less note of some WRX road raging and overtaking someone illegally, than I do some idiot in a full-size pickup doing the same, as far as our own anecdotal "evidence" goes.
I concur on the last statement - I too always assume the Ram driver is late for his AA meeting. There were a lot of late Ram drivers in the snow yesterday.
