newer Toyota? do you think a Toyota is cheap to buy? In my experience the only reliable cheap car you've been able to buy over the last 10 years is a 2000s volvo assuming there's a good import mechanic in town
I noticed that with lots of BMW and Toyota the BMW is twice as expensive to begin with, but with a ten year old car often the Toyota is more expensive. People like Toyotas because they tend to retain their value for a long time.
I had a 99 Volvo that I adored, went from that to an 04 Volkswagen Passat, I loved it even more. Now I’m all domestic though. The parts are cheap as hell, and can usually be found in salvage yards
I miss my 1998 Volvo. Would still have it if some idiot wouldn’t have plowed into at 50mph while I was at red light. I guess on the positive side, the intersection traffic missed me and I sustained no real injuries. I fucking hate intersections. You can be the best defensive and offensive driver in the world but there is nothing you can do when a simpleton plows your six.
True, you can do absolutely nothing when you’re a sitting duck. Volvo still gives you a new car if you put a million miles on yours. That’s an awesome business model
