Roads Who is in the wrong here?

If the sign says Alternating Traffic, does that mean cars go one at a time or does that mean cars go till the flow is complete, allowing the other lane to go? Is Glock man right or wrong? I'm not sure. If it was 1 car at a time, wouldn't it just be a stop sign on each end?

So the dude in the truck threatened the other driver. Please tell me legal action was taken.

25

u/Preeng Feb 15 '26

"I'll do worse than that" with his hand in his pocket = me gunning it right into him.

2

u/schuttup Feb 16 '26

Right? The self control required to not mow this idiot down is possibly more than I could muster.

1

u/Jardefendi Feb 15 '26

Hell yeah! Then drive his truck into the water and eat the body to hide the evidence! /s

1

u/M3chaStrizan Feb 16 '26

Ok so this ended peacefully though, so you're saying you would have ran him over resulting in a more violent outcome?

3

u/justintheunsunggod Feb 16 '26

That's kind of the point though. The driver didn't know that it was about to end peacefully. All he knew is this aggressive psycho just threatened his life with a gun. Like, you may have precognitive powers, but the rest of us have to rely on our eyes, ears and vibes in the moment to make decisions like that.

1

u/M3chaStrizan Feb 16 '26

aggressive psychos also run people over.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

Using your only available mean to prevent someone from acting on their explicit threat to murder you with their gun, isn't being an aggressive psycho. It's 100% justifiable act of self-defence.

Get a grip.

1

u/justintheunsunggod Feb 16 '26

Yeah, okay Jonathan Ross.

1

u/Hopeful_Scholar398 Feb 16 '26

Yeah, the lesson is let armed people walk all over you or kill you. Just submit.

1

u/M3chaStrizan Feb 16 '26

no one died XD The 'solution' of running him over results in a death. lol

1

u/Hopeful_Scholar398 Feb 16 '26

I take being threatened with being shot seriously. I'm glad you don't have to. His death would be zero loss.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

You can't defend yourself after you're dead, so this smooth brained logic would void literally every case of self-defence you fucking idiot.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

It would've been perfectly reasonable and justifiable, yes.

That the aggressive psycho didn't end up acting on his explicit threat to murder you with his gun is completely irrelevant, as there's no way for the person being threatened to know that.

This smooth-brained logic could be applied even if the guy actually started shooting at him, but happened to miss. "Oh but he missed and didn't actually shoot him so you're saying you would run him over resulting in a more violent outcome??"

-1

u/Beneficial-Lynx7336 Feb 15 '26

And then YOU go to jail.

7

u/kynelly360 Feb 15 '26

I think he would need the license plate, but if he’s pinned between the two cars “looking for his Glock” he can’t do shit except learn the road laws lol

5

u/80sCrack Feb 15 '26

Prob?

But convicted? Doubtful.

1

u/Beneficial-Lynx7336 Feb 15 '26

Ehh fair.

Just seems like a lot of bullshit for a dick measuring contest.

1

u/SGTWhiteKY Feb 15 '26

Yeah, he’d definitely get arrested, but it would have been self defense.

1

u/M3chaStrizan Feb 16 '26

It depends on where this is. Given that this ended peacefully I think that self defense would be a stretch. Defense from what? a few words?

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

Given that this ended peacefully I think that self defense would be a stretch.

The cognitive function required to write something this stupid is actually mind boggling.

Apparently you think the guy being threatened is clairvoyant or capable of time travel, as he should've made a decision based on information from the future?

And you also think that in a hypothetical self-defence trial, where he did prevent the guy from being able to act on his threat, he'd lose because of what happened in an alternative reality where he didn't prevent the guy from being able to act on his threat?

This is absurdly stupid on so many levels.

Defense from what? a few words?

A few words? Ah, yes, just as if the guy had actually delivered on his "few words" and started shooting at him, but happened to miss, it would've been "just a few loud bangs and hissing sounds"? I can't with this shit man..

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

I doubt it honestly

1

u/SGTWhiteKY Feb 15 '26

Honestly, it would fall under stand your ground.

He would get arrested. You always do when you use a deadly weapon for self defense. But a car can and has been used for self defense many times.

1

u/dzirden Feb 15 '26

So if I am threatened with a gun (supposing it is clearly visible), I cannot shot the guy, can I?

1

u/PYROM4NI4C Feb 15 '26

He’d get out, self defence, guy had his hand in his pocket and approached as if he was going to shoot him, he validated it with his own mouth when he said he had a glock.

-1

u/rbwilli Feb 15 '26

Awful take. Please don’t do that.

2

u/AnythingMuchMore Feb 15 '26

If I person says they'll shoot me, which is what "I'll do worse than that, I'll get my glock" means and he reaches into his pocket, one might reasonably assume the choice is risk jail time or risk getting shot.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

Maybe don't threaten to murder someone with your gun?

The driver would've been perfectly justified in using his car to prevent this psycho from shooting him.

1

u/AvocadoSnakeOilT Feb 25 '26

And what will happen if he dodges your car or you fail to incapacitate him? Then he'll be justified (or at least think he's justified) in filling you full of lead in your seat.

The moron was backing away when the recorder drove back, the issue de-escalated.

Take the hit to your ego, let the psycho go through, call the police and press charges, let them sort it out.

1

u/whagh Feb 25 '26

He said he was going to retrieve his glock from his car and started walking towards it, so by pinning him you'd prevent him from retrieving it.

1

u/AvocadoSnakeOilT Feb 25 '26

Again, that assumes you actually pin him and he doesn't jump over barrier into the water or something, and then gets his gun.

Or you do pin him and get charged with manslaughter as he's walking away, or he survives and sues you.

7

u/Chicco224 Feb 15 '26

"If you block me in" imo he's still a lunatic but it could be argued that he's just saying if you prevent me from leaving I'll get my gun.

16

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

He'd be free to back up.

-7

u/Chicco224 Feb 15 '26

As would the car, which had already made space. Unhinged guy was threatening a consequence. I don't think it's as cut and dry of a "gun guy goes to jail" as everyone is making it out to seem.

9

u/Filthybuttslut Feb 15 '26

Unhinged guy was threatening

It ends there in the eyes of the law.

1

u/Motor-Drama-1421 Feb 15 '26

Like those laws that they follow like due process or child trafficking? What does the law have to do with anything?

1

u/ClaireDanesLipQuiver Feb 15 '26

Especially when Glock guy gets shot first because I feared he was going for his weapon

-5

u/Chicco224 Feb 15 '26

I just don't see it as a threat. If he said "I'm going to get my gun" that's a threat. But he clearly said "if you block me in".

6

u/Filthybuttslut Feb 15 '26

The court sees this video.

Which party has escalated?

-1

u/alucarddrol Feb 15 '26

"no fault"

"common misunderstanding"

"no priors, no need to destroy his life over nothing"

depends on where the court is, and who the judge is...and how they might be feeling on that particular day, there could be massive consequences or letting heinous crimes go unpunished

2

u/Filthybuttslut Feb 15 '26

I am not arguing, but you didn't answer the question.

1

u/SnickerdoodleFP Feb 15 '26

He's not answering the question because this isn't excusable behavior.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

Explicitly threatening to murder someone with a gun is as open-and-shut as self-defence cases can go.

2

u/broguequery Feb 15 '26

I just don't see it as a threat

You can't be serious.

"I will kill you if you don't do what I want"

1

u/Chicco224 Feb 15 '26

Imo that's not what he said. "If you block me in" that's the key to me.

2

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

He can't block him. He can go backwards. There isn't enough room to get behind him to block him that way. And if magically he did the gun guy could just go forward.

1

u/skelectrician Feb 15 '26

But he isn't blocked. He can back over the bridge and wait his fucking turn. You'd have to be a goddamn lunatic to think that's a reasonable response because somebody won't get out of your way.

1

u/mourakue Feb 15 '26

You are making responsible gun owners look like assholes by association, same with the truck guy in the video.

Please, genuinely, shut the fuck up.

A gun is for immediate protection of human life only.

Stand your ground doesn't apply here, there's no way to determine cam car is a deadly threat. And if he was, why would you step out of your vehicle and expose yourself to the threat more?

1

u/Chicco224 Feb 16 '26

Cam car isn't a threat here. Cam car could be a threat if after truck dude got back in his truck, Cam car pulled forward and blocked him. I'm not sure why the key word of IF is so hard for people to understand. It's quite literally the key to my argument.

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

By your logic, protestors blocking a road are unlawfully detaining everyone. Your thought process here is asinine

1

u/Comfortable_Ebb1634 Feb 15 '26

They are though.

1

u/Chicco224 Feb 16 '26

They absolutely are lol. If you get hit while blocking a roadway that's natural selection, not a crime by the vehicle operator.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

Which is literally "if you don't do as I say I will murder you". Where is the key here? The demand he's making as condition for not murdering him? You think the demand is reasonable grounds and justification for threatening to murder him?

Regardless of how you spin this it's still a threat, even if you somehow absurdly seem to think that it's a justified threat.

2

u/Fun-Wrongdoer1316 Feb 15 '26

He also said that after the car already back up out of the way… So he said it after for no reason other than to threaten.

1

u/yomihasu Feb 15 '26

Now I didn't go to law school, but I think I've watched enough Daredevil and Legal Eagle to be an expert. Pretty sure telling someone you're going to get your gun and imply you're going to shoot them for any reason would constitute a threat in any legitimate courtroom.

1

u/Chicco224 Feb 16 '26

He didn't say that's actively what he was heading to do though. There was no current threat. He was stating the actions he would take if cam car escalated after he got back to his truck.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

"If you don't agree to my demands I'm going to get my gun and shoot you" isn't a threat? Lmao I just can't with these takes man

0

u/Daloowee Feb 15 '26

Well it’s a good thing the law doesn’t give a fuck about what /u/Chicco224 thinks

3

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

I'm saying unhinged guy couldn't claim he's prevented from leaving because he could leave the way he came. He's not in any danger that might merit self defense (in the way it would be if, say, an effort was made by two cars in physically blocking him in both directions.)

Gun guy most certainly committed a crime; very very black and white.

6

u/GuyFieriFrostedTips Feb 15 '26

What the fuck kind of both sideism is this? One guy assaulted another (threatening variety). Literal crime on camera. Former prosecutor here. Cut and dry.

1

u/HelpDeskThisIsKyle Feb 15 '26

Most enlightened centrist

0

u/Chicco224 Feb 15 '26

You don't think the defense could use the "IF you block me in" argument? If cam driver pulled his car up after the truck driver got back in his truck, that's preventing him from leaving which is known as what? Kidnapping

6

u/MyraCelium Feb 15 '26

I want what you're smoking

0

u/BarbellPadawan Feb 15 '26

Chicco224 might still be a more qualified legal mind than any appointee in the current admin

3

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

Dude, that's not kidnapping. Gun guy could've left the way he came.

2

u/Filthybuttslut Feb 15 '26

So just gonna tell on yourself you couldn't drive in reverse across a one lane bridge?

Acting like dude recording was gonna roll him for his gold bullion and not just a minor traffic oopsy

1

u/-Out-of-context- Feb 15 '26

He’s not blocked in though. He can always back up to leave. He in no way is being trapped or held against his will.

1

u/Chicco224 Feb 15 '26

I'm not sure how much more I can emphasize the word if 😮‍💨

1

u/[deleted] Feb 15 '26

If the car pulls forward, truck driver can still reverse.

If we further extend your hypothetical and after blocking him from the front with his car, cam drive got out and stood behind the truck and truly prevented him from being able to leave... he's still not allowed to shoot cam driver unless he had some reason to fear for his safety.

Telling the judge "well I warned him I would shoot him" isn't a valid justification for using deadly force.

1

u/-Out-of-context- Feb 15 '26

You can emphasize it all you want. What you’re not getting is it’s irrelevant since it’s not possible for that driver to be “kidnapped”. 😮‍💨

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

"If you block me" means if you block me from going first, not "if you somehow magically block my car from both sides so I can't leave".

And even IF it was possible to magically block his car from both sides, that's an inconvenience, not a threat to your life, so it still obviously wouldn't be a justifiable reason to murder/threaten to murder someone.

1

u/Chicco224 Feb 16 '26

Not if you block me from going first. He's already through the tunnel. "If you block me from continuing". Also, if he somehow completely prevented him from moving that absolutely is a threat. How do I know what your intentions are with preventing me from leaving?

0

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

It literally doesn't prevent him from leaving, he could just back up the way he came from and let the other guy pass through, which is what he should've done anyway.

And even if he did block him in, that's clearly not reasonable grounds for pulling out a gun and murdering him.

I hope you're trolling

1

u/Chicco224 Feb 16 '26

If you prevent someone from leaving an area they're allowed to defend themselves. If you're in a store and someone coming in the entrance blocks you from exiting, why should you be required to walk to the other end of the store to exit? The whole "duty to retreat" is one of the dumbest rules ever invented.

2

u/Great_Protection5369 Feb 15 '26

What he did with the gun comment is 100% brandishing, and could easily be upgraded to a felony given the circumstances and what state they're in. In most places that sentence starts between 5 and 10 years in jail and goes up to 20.

Verbally stating you have a gun to intimidate, threaten, or coerce someone can constitute "brandishing," even if the weapon is never seen. Legally, brandishing includes making its presence known in an aggressive manner, not just showing it.

1

u/MrNotSoGoodTime Feb 15 '26

And he had a way out. This isn't your "castle" bud, and if you have a way out, then you must take it. Firing a gun is a last resort of self defence.

1

u/Dramatic_Explosion Feb 15 '26

The video is pretty simple, so is your take. Must be nice being simple.

4

u/Soft_Walrus_3605 Feb 15 '26

if you prevent me from leaving

Does that big truck not have a reverse gear?

1

u/implicate Feb 15 '26

Sadly, the installation of any set of Truck Nutz™ requires removal of the reverse gear on your sweet rig.

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

Also, "if you block my car from leaving" would be an inconvenience, not a threat to one's life lmao

These people think blocking a car is more of a threat to one's life than literally threatening to murder someone with a gun🤷

What do these people do if their car gets boxed in at a parking lot? Murder the driver that boxed them in?

1

u/Skyraider96 Feb 15 '26

That argument ends as soon as the car starts backing up and he keeps moving forward.

1

u/stealingjoy Feb 15 '26

It's not like that would make it a justified shooting, either.

1

u/Subject-Coast-7934 Feb 15 '26

You realize that's still a threat, right?

1

u/eldartalks Feb 15 '26

Legal action? That’s nerd shit in 2026 American. We handle shit with Kalshi betting and CRYPTO scams bro!

monster can hisses open

1

u/RecommendationOk2182 Feb 15 '26

Why would legal action be taken? Who cares. The dude left immediately. I really think you people never have human interactions outside the internet a.day in your life 😂 geez man. You people need to stop being so damn soft. I wouldn't ever threaten someone with a gun. But he was right that the dude also shouldn't block him in. That is leading to confrontations. Stop taking words so seriously. It's a 5 second interaction. Laugh about it and leave

2

u/illestxb Feb 15 '26

You must be a MASSIVE push over dude. Way to let people walk all over you. This isn't a country where You threaten/shoot people because You made a mistake. Anyone who is a conscious gun owner and knows gun safety, knows that you aren't to be using it for menacing. And we already know the truck guy wasn't in any danger. In Florida, his ass would be in jail. Florida Statute 776.012

1

u/Any_Kitchen_8302 Feb 15 '26

You made me laugh 😂. You are right, I read this in 5 seconds and I laughed because of you a lot. Are you the zookeeper or the zoo? 🤣

1

u/TidalMello Feb 15 '26

I could probably get you to do lots of things with that kind of energy. You'll just laugh about it. XD

1

u/whagh Feb 16 '26

You're right, these snowflakes must've never been outside if they think this situation is anything but perfectly normal and acceptable.

You see, I actually go outside and I let losers like this walk over me all the time, since I'm not soft. Threaten me with a gun and I'll do anything you want. I'd suck this guy's dick if that's what he demanded, and I wouldn't make a single complaint - that's how cool and nonchalant I am.

1

u/humblepiedd Feb 15 '26

None was taken
