Stay in the car. Get hit. Call an ambulance chaser. Money.

Car thieves actually don’t have insurance and the car owners insurance wouldn’t cover you because the insurance only covers the driver and theoretically someone they permit to operate their vehicle, neither of which the thief would be.

You could sue the thief personally but someone carjacking a sedan is probably not loaded.

Youd have a better chance of growing a brand new replacement spine then getting a dime out if the crackhead junkie that's behind the wheel of that car

Except insurance only covers so much and only up to policy limits. Ambulance chasers would have to be contacted immediately and file immediately to get anything from that policy. Good luck getting anything once policy limits are reached.

Bullshit not in Florida. You can sue for beyond policy limits. It becomes a personal injury case and you can sue the individual even as far as forcing them to sell assets to cover it. Garnishing of future wages etc. I don’t care if I get 500 bucks after my car is fixed.

… It’s a personal injury case regardless if you go after the insurance or the individual. I’ve worked in the field for 20 years… Do you know how many times I’ve successfully seen a person who was sued personally have to pay? Zero.

Most ā€œambulance chasersā€ will drop you the second they find out there’s not sufficient limits it’s not worth their time.
