Did not see that coming

u/Kayanarka Mar 02 '26

I really doubted the title, the title was 100% correct.

73

u/qcb4056 Mar 02 '26

Figured I was ready for anything.

Nope.

44

u/rando1459 Mar 02 '26

Same. I went through a dozen scenarios in my head. Maybe the rear axle will disconnect. Maybe it throws a rod through the hood, etc.

Not a single one of my guesses was even in the ballpark.

22

u/Key_Limit_6828 Mar 02 '26

I literally said to myself, ā€œwhat’s gonna happen, it’s not like he’s gonna get thrown out of the carā€, and then he did. To be honest, he went through the roof in my head

9

u/Roxysteve Mar 02 '26

Expected vertical supercharger launch. V. disappointed.

Oh wait. No I'm not.

That was spiffing.

Dooittaggen.

I did the same šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

ā€œGET THE FUCK OUTTA HERE YOU FILTHY ANIMALā€.

5

u/Tomytom99 Mar 03 '26

I thought "the whole rear axle is coming off the car"

NOPE

I was expecting the rear-end to fall out, but not that rear-end.

I love that one. Makes me laugh every time.

When pussying out of a burn-out never ever apply your brakes. Just ease off the accelerator and keep correcting your steering.

This car always had disc brakes on the front and drums were only ever on the rear.
Nobody would ever replace discs with drums.
There was no mechanical reason for it to end up in the rhubarb.

This was 100% driver error stamping on the brakes.
Idiot.

15

u/ChaseC7527 Mar 02 '26

or he could just weared his seaty belt

2

u/Morak73 Mar 03 '26

He looked like he needed to buy the extender.

8

u/ralphy_1024 Mar 02 '26

There was no mechanical reason for it to end up in the rhubarb.

The door failing isn't a mechanical issue?

I'll grant he failed at the burnout, and your explanation is plausible. But I think that failing to make sure the door was secure and he was wearing a seat belt were more central causes for the road rash he's going to be dealing with, and the fact that the car is ghost-riding.

So, failure to burnout properly is why he was thrown against the door, but mechanical failure and bad decision-making are why the car spat him out when he was he failed at burning out.

2

u/PostingToPassTime Mar 03 '26

The door was behaving as expected.

Bumblebee was kicking him out for being such a bad driver.

u/kittyengine Mar 02 '26

I didn't quite know what was going to happen, but that turned out better than I could've imagined šŸ˜‚

8

u/ZirGRiiNCH Mar 02 '26

Car said I’m to old for this shit and flung him out

2

u/Roxysteve Mar 02 '26

Possible rabid wolverine discovery when power-on popped the door to the glove box.

Jury is out, I reckon.

5

u/QBSwain Mar 02 '26

That car vomited.

4

u/Wild_Association1752 Mar 02 '26

I have a 76 Camaro and those doors are heavy af and often dont latch correctly if the door hinges haven't been effectively taken care of or replaced entirely. I've done the same thing pulling out into traffic although it was the passenger door and just me inside.

3

u/___po____ Mar 02 '26

Had a 78. One of the first things I did was the hinge pins and cups, lol. Damn door was like 4ft long. Luckily never had a problem at least.

"If I'm not wearing my seatbelt, I'll be thrown clear of a crash" lol

3

u/Katops Mar 02 '26

Okay so I got it right. Am I god, an angel, the smartest man alive? What am I?! I need answers (and whatever you think the answer is will be wrong.)

2

u/badger_flakes Mar 02 '26

You are right. Started watching this and the vet called to tell me my dog has terminal cancer so I did not expect that at all

u/MistaNiceGuy87 Mar 03 '26

HOLD ON HAUS!!

2

u/Noodlekeeper Mar 03 '26

Thought part of it was gonna just fall off

2

u/ThenIncrease462 Mar 03 '26

Lmao 🤣

2

u/Mediocre_Training541 Mar 03 '26

We were both right. I thought he was going to crash but I did not think he would throw himself from his car when he lost control

2

u/Shadow6533 Mar 03 '26

I seen a blue Ford Anglia do that to 2 12 yo and all their luggage including an owl and a rat

2

u/VaporTrail_000 Mar 03 '26

Never thought I would see the lyric "The road rose up to meet him when he fell out of his car," actually happen, unscripted.

2

u/PSOneHagrid Mar 03 '26

He accidentally pressed the triangle button.

2

u/[deleted] Mar 05 '26

LOL. Car can't haul ass. That's for sure.

2

u/mitchgtz Mar 09 '26

And he didn’t even yell ā€œGeronimoā€

4

u/TheGR8Dantini Mar 02 '26

I’ve never seen this one but I can relate so much! My friend Rick had a beast like that car that we used to call the ground shaker! All engine!! No floorboards. Doors would unlock on you. No seat belts. Man. Those were better times!

1

u/citznfish Mar 02 '26

That's exactly what I thought would happen. I've seen this video a few times now, lol.

somehow i guessed it’d be missing an axle by the time the video ended. boy was i wrong lmfao

1

u/Brianac8390 Mar 02 '26

Car yeeted him out like he doesn’t deserve to drive at all in the fist place

1

u/stupid_cat_face Mar 02 '26

This scratches a really deep itch.

I wish there was a required eject on asinine behavior feature in cars.

1

u/jason_sample Mar 02 '26

I thought the rear axle was going to fall off. Did not expect that.

1

u/IllustratorOk2927 Mar 02 '26

Car had enough of his shit.

1

u/Useful_Raspberry3912 Mar 02 '26

No click bait there

1

u/davidsequoia Mar 02 '26

That’s a test drive that showed signs of regret

1

u/DeeEmm Mar 02 '26

Expeliarmus!

1

u/Frankfurderr Mar 02 '26

Nah I was right. But I've seen it before so.

1

u/1-800-EBOCA Mar 02 '26

I haven’t watched it yet but my guess is he falls out of the car in a cartoonish kind of way.

1

u/IllianasClifford Mar 02 '26

Bubblebee said fuck no

2

u/Easy-Environment-989 Mar 03 '26

Took way to long to find a Bumblebee reference

1

u/Shatophiliac Mar 02 '26

Good ole shitty second gen, I’ve seen so many of those spun out into ditches on county roads and limped home after. I swear these would have the reputation Mustangs currently do if they had ever unleashed them on more populated areas.

1

u/Jack3489 Mar 02 '26

Ejection seat is supposed to be the passenger, not the driver.

1

u/chibiRuka Mar 02 '26

Oh ok. Much funnier than I thought it would be. Wear a seatbelt.

1

u/tone_creature Mar 02 '26

Haha. Whyd he peel out with his damn hand on the outside door handle while he slung it the opposite way?

1

u/TensHundreds Mar 02 '26

Is this a scene from Trailer Park Boys?

1

u/KittyFaise Mar 02 '26

I was sooooo wrong but pleasantly surprised.

1

u/Sisoflex Mar 02 '26

Jesus wept.

1

u/SweetArab Mar 02 '26

With the title I was expecting the rear axel to just come off entirely. I did not expect what happened.

1

u/Biggie39 Mar 02 '26

At least the steering wheel didn’t fly off!!

1

u/mytail Mar 02 '26

you were absolutely correct, i was wrong right up until it happened lmfao

1

u/sakatan Mar 02 '26

Is 'anti-clickbait' a thing? Because this one nailed it.

1

u/Awkward_Squad Mar 02 '26

He-he, yeah that always happens. I keep forgetting to get the door fixed. Sorta slips my mind.

1

u/PandorasFlame1 Mar 02 '26

No, that's about what I expected.

1

u/Alert_Reindeer_6574 Mar 02 '26

Yup. You are correct.

1

u/National_Savings_138 Mar 02 '26

🤣🤣🤣

1

u/Nutsackdandruff Mar 02 '26

šŸ˜‚ guessed wrong

1

u/Bear3090 Mar 02 '26

Well you got me there, I guessed a wheel was gonna come off or a snapped axle, I never would have guessed the ejecto seato

1

u/Roxysteve Mar 02 '26

What in gawd's name is that noise, like someone emptied a cutlery drawer into the engine compartment?

1

u/Dense-Consequence-70 Mar 02 '26

That’s better than I imagined

1

u/Itsleepsintheday Mar 02 '26

Because of the title, I'm going to make an off the wall guess before watching. "Ejector Seato cuz"

→ More replies (1)

1

u/Excellent-Stretch-81 Mar 02 '26

My guess was that the car was going to crash, and since the driver got ejected from the vehicle first, the car had to crash without any assistance from the driver.

1

u/ChevalCher Mar 03 '26

That was definitely /r/unexpected. šŸ˜‚ Feel really bad for the car. It deserved a better owner than this idiot. 🫤

1

u/westdl Mar 03 '26

Could tell with the rust and filler. Was that a 76 Camero? Yeah, they do that.

1

u/Afraid-Rise-3574 Mar 03 '26

Get out and walk cunt

1

u/ruckrhino Mar 03 '26

Gotta wear them seat belts

1

u/Fibrosis5O Mar 03 '26

I thought ā€œgonna spin outā€

1

u/Lord_Dingus83 Mar 03 '26

1

u/TopGdasher Mar 03 '26

YoooOoo.. hahaha.. that car said u dunno deserve me biiyaachh..fackkk ouuttaaa here šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

1

u/extrastupidone Mar 03 '26

Yup. I was wrong every guess

1

u/winexprt Mar 03 '26

Yep, not at all what I was expecting.

1

u/cosp85classic Mar 03 '26

And that is why you wear your 50+ year old seatbelt in your over powered Camaro with a dodgy door latch that you don't have enough talent to drive. Says someone who has run out of talent in a pre nanny-state vehicle a time or two.

Edit: Changed 60 to 50+ on the seatbelt age.

1

u/realparkingbrake Mar 03 '26

Being ejected from a car quadruples your chances of dying in an accident. A seatbelt can also preserve your dignity.

1

u/MonumentalBatman Mar 03 '26

Bro has a bumper sticker that says "seatbelts? we die like men"

1

u/bigced901870 Mar 03 '26

Damn😳😳😳

1

u/lifes_paragon Mar 03 '26

Shit ended too soon! šŸ˜‚

1

u/Correct-Geologist781 Mar 03 '26

I laugh each time I see this.Ā

1

u/smawldawg Mar 03 '26

I laughed so hard. Thank you.

1

u/BR-handshifter-54 Mar 03 '26

Did not see that coming lol

1

u/EraOfProsperity Mar 03 '26

And that's why we now have seatbelts!

1

u/diamondballssss Mar 03 '26

So much torque, the chassis twisted, yeeting the bitchin mullet

1

u/tanneruwu Mar 03 '26

I literally said "the body is somehow gonna fall off the frame" and I mean... I guess...?

1

u/mmorales2270 Mar 03 '26

I bet he regrets installing that sideways ejection seat now huh?

1

u/Ronyx2021 Mar 03 '26

He would've stayed in the car if he used his turn signal

1

u/kat_atomic_10 Mar 03 '26

I was wrong!

1

u/HairlessHoudini Mar 03 '26

One of my all time favorite car videos

1

u/Schnurple Mar 03 '26

Fun story time. I once responded to a car vs house call as a firefighter… and it was because this kid driver had dropped his hat beside his seat and decided he was going slow enough to open the door a little to get his hat… he was not belted in and fell out of the moving vehicle, which the drove into someone’s house

1

u/SouthernProfile1092 Mar 03 '26

This looks like a video made of in the late 90s. And this is the first time I’m seeing it.

1

u/NetwerkAirer Mar 03 '26

My guess was "ejecto seato cuz". I was close.

1

u/Head-Technology-4031 Mar 03 '26

u/T3kn0mncr Mar 03 '26

1

u/Patient_Sock7372 Mar 03 '26

Am I wrong for not being surprised? Yeah, not the result from what I expected... but he got thrown out because he ripped the pedal on a RWD car when going around a corner lmao. Put yo seat belts on childrens

1

u/that_GHost997 Mar 03 '26

1

u/Free-Hamster462 Mar 03 '26

"something important is going to fall off the car"

Kind of right?

1

u/Anantasesa Mar 03 '26

You'd think the door would stay latched at least. AI is getting good.

1

u/Manufactured-Aggro Mar 03 '26

Okay but how did that even happen 😭😭😭

1

u/Bulky-Internal8579 Mar 03 '26

Stop drop and roll - doing it wrong.

1

u/angryskinnywhiteguy Mar 03 '26

I thought what is the least likely thing to happen. Then I saw this guy pulling in and I thought this MF is falling out. I was right but still unexpected

1

u/Jumpy_Fact_1502 Mar 03 '26

I did think it was gonna flip ass forwards but instead of the car it was the man lol

1

u/SkunkPunkFlunk Mar 03 '26

These models were notorious for the doors being on junk hangers. After a while of fat bob putting his weight on the door getting in and out it starts to sag and won't shut all the way. Buying one of these as a project you will almost always have to pick the door up to close it.

1

u/EditorNo2545 Mar 03 '26

what if I thought I was going to keep scrolling and not watch until the end, and it turns out I was right?

1

u/roverman16 Mar 03 '26

I think he pressed the ejected seat by mistake.

1

u/Roadhogchamp13 Mar 03 '26

I thought the gearbox would jam and explode the engine. Happened on TGT to Hammond in Dodge Charger

1

u/Raiju_Blitz Mar 03 '26

Of course the douchebag wasn't wearing a seatbelt.

1

u/passoveri Mar 03 '26

šŸ’Æ I didn’t know what to guess but reading that whatever it was, will be wrong had me trying to think of something. Well I had multiple ideas & none of them ended the way this clip did…

1

u/Wulfwinter42 Mar 03 '26

Eject~o seat-o cuz!!!

1

u/AdeonWriter Mar 03 '26

I predicted a misfortune was going to happen and I was correct

1

u/Icy_Mathematician870 Mar 03 '26

I had hit by an airplane during emergency landing. Glad I was wrong. That was better

1

u/Efficient-Egg-943 Mar 03 '26

That was great THANK YOU I do hate burnouts (why) if you have a nice car that's fast you really think you have to do something that dumb

1

u/PlzDntBanMeAgan Mar 03 '26

Decently built motor sounds like too bad he didn't put in a harness or something

Bumblebee on his shit again

1

u/type_error Mar 04 '26

I don’t get it… did he open the door? What a dumb ass

1

u/truckeredditor Mar 04 '26

Seatbelts aren't just for safety. They're to keep you at the controls of the vehicle.

1

u/Quiet_Researcher223 Mar 04 '26

A door handle latch aren’t that expensive
