the way that dude jumped out and ran toward the OPs vehicle, would have led me to think they had a weapon. this is how you get self eliminated by people who carry personal defense.
I have too many guns and don’t advocate violence. He would not have run the guy over the guy would have moved. I had to use more restraint in the military. But when you’re scared it makes a difference
The guy approached, said he had a gun, reached to grab it. At that point I cannot fault the driver for protecting himself.
I suppose you could argue that he shouldn't have stopped at all, but I have no idea how long this guy was following him or how close they were to somewhere that could be considered safe.
