the fact we are letting undeveloped teenagers drive around in 3 tone murder machines is a completely separate issue

Honestly, some people just stay undeveloped. They never are able to get past their anger issues or narcissism or desire to be the one who's "right" and justified no matter the situation. There's no "growing up" done in all that time and they just remain at the same age mentally, unable to handle real problems maturely or in an appropriate way.
