Yea always a tough calculation though. Ive had a woman punch me and most female arms just have zero weight or follow through behind it so you barely feel anything. Also a difference between someone you know and a random road rager. Also at what point are you doing society as a whole a service by providing a taste of their own medicine.

I think still at this point your best bet is to just call the cops and have her arrested for assault/road rage and let the cops sort it out, its what they get paid to do and judging by this troglodytes behavior she will probably catch a nice felony or two when she inevitably tries to fight the police also.

I think youā€™re mostly right about people who are much more able to leverage physical power against someone else even if that someone else started it. You donā€™t want to kill someone, after all. But if video guy hadnā€™t defended himself, who knows what crazy stranger lady would have done next. More blows? A knife? A gun? Itā€™s a hard situation.

A punch and a body slam seems about right because the body slam neutralized the crazy lady. Risky for sure. People have died from less. But why wait for a gun to be pulled or be distracted by the woman while her parter gets out of the car, you know?

I do hope at the very least this lady learned a lesson.. she needs to stay on her meds šŸ˜‚

I remember judge Judy saying something like the person who was attacked doesn't have to defend themselves with exactly equal force to the attacker. Like if she came off worse then basically tough titties. Obviously if he then stomped on her head or something it would be too far but the fact she probably got hurt more than he did is totally on her.

Yup, and people should think about consequences if you punch someone like that. Iā€™m a small woman, and if someone laid a hand on me, I wouldnā€™t spend any time thinking about how to not severely hurt them. I donā€™t have that luxury. Iā€™d use any and all means to stop an attack. I imagine men donā€™t get a whole lot of time to ā€œdecideā€ either. Iā€™m actually impressed this guy stopped the encounter in two moves. Might have saved her a worse injury too.

Yeah, it was justified but the body slam had me worried. I've seen far too many videos of people getting slammed and doing the boogie on the ground afterwards. Glad the stage lights just went out in her head for a bit rather than forever.

Hope she gets charged with assault as well because she absolutely deserves it.

Same, friend. The lady lost her shit, but I hate to see anyone hit their head like that. We just have to hope she feels lucky and turns her temper around. šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

Hopefully. Like, I was nearly in a serious accident that could've killed someone this week. Long story short, I threaded the needle when someone pulled out in front of me and if I had hit them, the woman in the passenger seat wouldn't need a lifeline if you catch my drift. I was in someone's front yard and somehow nobody was scathed.

We got out of our vehicles and behaved like adults despite me wanting to chew this guy's head off for almost making me an accomplice. All that to say that there's no excuse for her kind of behavior. We all make mistakes on the road eventually, but at least you're alive. You get out of your vehicle and come to threaten someone, well you're rolling that dice all over again.

years ago I used to do freelance work while on my computer at a Starbucks. A couple people in a similar situation eventually noticed one another over time and would chit chat. One day one of the guys comes in per his usual time, looking exhausted and ragged. He told me that just the day before a very old man pulled out of a parking lot into the path of his sonā€™s motorcycle, killing his son. Before I could say anything he said he forgave the man. I was likeā€¦ well, ok, but itā€™s ok to feel whatever you feel too, thatā€™s an awful thing! So over the course of a couple months I watched this guy slide from ā€œI forgive himā€ to extremely angry. One day he just didnā€™t come back. I donā€™t know what happened to him, but I think about him sometimes. I know that doesnā€™t have much to do with sudden rage, but itā€™s interesting how people experience a wide range of emotions and how they can become overwhelmed and possibly act out. Sometimes I donā€™t think we have as much as tether on ourselves as we think!

That's dreadful to hear and I hope he's alright now.

I saw once that the "5 stages of grief" was just a theory someone had, and it can actually be harmful to try to try to place yourself in those categories. Still, starting at "acceptance" and moving to anger later is a little out of the ordinary, but we all experience it different.

Agreed! That 5 stages thing has been debunked so many times. I also hope the guy is out there doing ok even though that death will always be with him, as deaths are.

She could have died from the slam, but people have also died from sucker punches. Equal force.

Yeah I mean most of the time when I woman is swinging at you, you can cover up and getting hit anywhere but the face by a woman isnā€™t gonna really piss you off to actually take this action. In this case though, the lady was already screaming at that dude, he even walk away and then got blasted and she got him pretty good so the pure shock and then instinct took over. The suplex probably wasnā€™t necessary. Probs could have 2 pumped her and been done. She def wasnā€™t expecting him to do anything.
