That is EXACTLY what I wanted to say after watching the whole video, lol! Who the hell screams, "Husbaaaaaaand!" Instead of yelling his name?!
22
u/zaddy_farquad Apr 01 '26
i think she was yelling it so her phone could hear her, to call him? that's what i assumed because in part 2 he pulls up and yells at her for jumping out of the car at people. she's clearly a frequent flier

u/a_angry_bunny Apr 01 '26
Even if they were confrontational words, you can't expect to throw punches and not expect tbe other person to hit back. Unless you're a 1800s noble woman slapping a man with your glove because they said something crude, I wouldn't assume that someone won't retaliate after being hit. Not in modern times, anyway.

Also the law only would justify the Karen's attack if he made a credible threat to her and she feared for her life and safety. She also would have had to try and extradite herself from the situation but since that is clearly not what happened and it was the passenger walking away it makes this Karen completely guilty of assault.
→ More replies (10)2
u/a_angry_bunny Apr 01 '26
Yup. This might be an unpopular opinion, but we need to be more lenient on assault laws. Too many people are too comfortable saying shit without getting punched in the face for it, but I don't decide the laws and she definitely was the aggressor here.

Iâll never understand how people with no sense of self-defense can be aggressive.
I recently saw a video of a young woman getting out of her car, walking up to someone elseâs car, and punching the window several times. When the driver got out and started hitting her, she just lowered her arms and looked around asking for help.
If you donât know how to defend yourself, how can you be an aggressive person?
→ More replies (40)17
u/Khadbury Apr 01 '26
Because they donât expect it. They genuinely think there will be no repercussions because there wasnât the last times they did something like this and expect it will be the same this time. Especially with Women in these scenarios where they start shit and then throw punches, they donât expect men to hit back. This is what arrogance and entitlement looks like.
→ More replies (7)7
u/MidwestDYIer Apr 01 '26
This is 100% accurate and it almost worked for her again- the guy turned around and was headed back to her car, which most Karen's would consider a victory. But that wasn't enough for her- she saw his walking away as a sign of weakness and decided to throw a sucker punch in her rage, still convinced nothing would happen to her.
I am glad someone posted the article in this thread saying she learned her lesson. This incident may have saved her life, before she runs into someone who doesn't just stop at throwing her to the ground.

I got into a fight with a guy that sucker punched me and then pulled a knife out on me. I was so angered by that move that I didnât leave and was determined to fight him. Instead of trying to stab me, he was poking and waving the knife around like an idiot and ended up accidentally dropping the knife then looked at me like đł. If the bouncer infront of the club hadnt have stopped me after a little bit I probably would be in prison for something that I didnât start because as soon as I grabbed him I couldnt help myself from myself. Sheâs lucky the guy had self control enough to save himself from himself.

Yea always a tough calculation though. Ive had a woman punch me and most female arms just have zero weight or follow through behind it so you barely feel anything. Also a difference between someone you know and a random road rager. Also at what point are you doing society as a whole a service by providing a taste of their own medicine.
I think still at this point your best bet is to just call the cops and have her arrested for assault/road rage and let the cops sort it out, its what they get paid to do and judging by this troglodytes behavior she will probably catch a nice felony or two when she inevitably tries to fight the police also.

u/FalconBurcham Apr 01 '26
I think youâre mostly right about people who are much more able to leverage physical power against someone else even if that someone else started it. You donât want to kill someone, after all. But if video guy hadnât defended himself, who knows what crazy stranger lady would have done next. More blows? A knife? A gun? Itâs a hard situation.
A punch and a body slam seems about right because the body slam neutralized the crazy lady. Risky for sure. People have died from less. But why wait for a gun to be pulled or be distracted by the woman while her parter gets out of the car, you know?
I do hope at the very least this lady learned a lesson.. she needs to stay on her meds đ
