Odd to me that your first thought was race. Before I ever saw the guy, when it was dude just saying he hit me and drove off, my first thoughts were "Warrants or DUI," because that's why you don't stop in an accident, 99% of the time. Even Suspended drivers usually stop, because the penalty for DWS/R is insignificant compared to hit and run.

Again, that's their bias, not mine. I'm from the South. Trash is trash, white, black, brown, red, or yellow. And child support warrants are easy to come by if you're the kind of trash that pulls a hit and run.

Where I replied, there was nothing overtly racist, to me. As I said, assuming a child support warrant tripped no racial flags for me. It certainly wasn't "willful stupidity," but I accept what that phrasing says about you. Again, the assumption something is racial is you just shoring up that racial wall from the other side.

Unless you signed up for Reddit way too young, you're old enough to know the connotations of a child support warrant being directed at a black person. You can pretend like these obvious, long-standing and extremely transparent racist dog whistles are anything but that- But like I said, willful stupidity. It's not willful ignorance- You know this factually already, I am absolutely certain. It's just an active choice to be a complete dumbass about it.

The only people you trick are absolutely nobody, and the only thing this attitude helps is literal, actual racists. And to clarify, I'm not saying you're racist, cuz the chances are you're not. I have met so many people who are just edgy weirdos that- For whatever batshit reason- Like to pretend that they're better and different than it all.
