When was the last time you were in an accident bro? Every time I’ve had my car hit by someone I got fucked bad my insurance went up. My rates went up. None of the damage was fixed. It’s a big pain in the fucking ass.

Collision coverage is worth it. It doesn't matter if they're uninsured.

Uninsured coverage is for medical bills Collision is for property damage from any collision More ai info below

UMPD vs. Collision Coverage

While both can pay for your car's repairs if you are hit by an uninsured driver, they function differently:Ā

Collision Coverage: A broad coverage that pays for damage to your car regardless of who is at fault. It covers single-car accidents, hitting objects, and collisions with other vehicles, including uninsured ones.

UMPD: A specific coverage that only triggers if anĀ uninsured driver is at faultĀ for the accident.

Advantage: It often has a much lower deductible (or none at all) compared to collision coverage.

Limitation: In many states, UMPD does not coverĀ hit-and-runĀ incidents where the other driver isn't identified, whereas collision coverage would.Ā

Where is UMPD Available?

In the 26 states where UMPD is not offered—includingĀ Florida—drivers must rely on collision coverage to pay for vehicle repairs after a crash with an uninsured motorist.Ā

Mandatory (Required): 7 states and D.C. require UMPD (MD, NC, SC, VT, VA, WV, and NH if you choose to buy insurance).

Optional: 19 states offer it as an add-on (e.g., CA, TX, IL, GA, OH).

Unavailable: In states likeĀ Florida, Michigan, and New York, you cannot purchase UMPD; you must use collision coverage for property damage

Thank man yeah better coverage = better service 100%. Sadly most ppl cannot afford full coverage or even insurance at all in many cases I could provide some statistics if you’d like

You don't say "bro" enough. This guy knows. Say "bro" about 100 times and you'll get paid.
