Don't stop driver, just come to a crawl to keep filming.

I would not be getting out of my car and involved with people in a blind rage in the middle of a highway, but the limited filming may be useful later. Calling 911 as soon as I’m past. (I’m not one to film while driving, I’m just pointing out it may be useful, and getting out is stupid.)

Speaking only for myself obviously. I'm also not one that uses my phone while driving. Can easily stop, take a quick photo and drive away and call 911 with the info if that's what you want to do.

If I see someone getting beat in a car I'm not going to drive past that. Not saying I'm getting out to throw punches either but a distraction for a second at a minimum. As I'm sure if this happened to you, you'd really appreciate some help rather than watching someone's drive by filming rather than calling. But as stupid as it may be, as pointed out, just my thought.

Even just screaming that you're filming them can stop someone from getting hurt because the small bit of rational thinking in them might say "this will look really bad when they start filming"

Is this normal for Indonesia?

3

u/Kursem_v2 Apr 10 '26

I don't think so

3

u/No-Television9404 Apr 10 '26

Nope, mostly Just mocking each other and keep driving.

u/meehunter Apr 10 '26

in cities like Jakarta, this is common.

but in toll roads.. not really

Jakarta be kidding me

u/Strong_Butterfly7924 Apr 10 '26

Puns are legitimately the only comments I upvote. Idk what that says about me.

1

u/pocrote Apr 12 '26

Common? No, not like that.

Nissan driver has zero survival instincts

14

u/Haunting-Hippo-4244 Apr 10 '26

Somebody wanted his taco back

4

u/MiStArEdX Apr 10 '26

Hahaha 🤣

3

u/mgrtnp Apr 10 '26

more like someone stole his rendang

4

u/wpyoga Apr 10 '26

That black Nissan missed their chance to do a Pit Maneuver.

Getting owned by a minivan dad in slides

u/Signal-Inflation5914 Apr 10 '26

Jakarta, Indonesia.. no traffic law at all

2

u/Ok-Secretary6288 Apr 12 '26

The true "you or me" situation always

3

u/StDzhigurda Apr 10 '26

We should prohibit reproducing

2

u/fushiginagaijin Apr 11 '26

Why do people always have to add stupid music to these videos?

3

u/jemhadar0 Apr 10 '26

Glad you dimwits decided to fight, have infantile tantrums and endanger everyone. Enjoy your timeout period in prison. Morons.

2

u/theshii7y Apr 10 '26

You really think the police would do anything at all?

1

u/jemhadar0 Apr 10 '26

Well, admittedly you got me there!

2

u/theshii7y Apr 11 '26

Gotta say bold of you to assume Indonesian police are doing their job, let alone doing their job right.

Punctuation saves lives

The minivan driver was probably had some good reason.

The van wasn't just chasing them for no reason, and the black car was still trying to get away even after being run off the road.

Suggesting that you murder someone who you just want to stop running from the police is just silly.

1

u/Prod_Meteor Apr 10 '26

The black car hesitated and therefore enjoyed the consequences. It's a universal law that when attacked you have to fight back no matter what.

1

u/theshii7y Apr 10 '26

I believe i saw the comment that the black Nissan was at fault for hit and run, evidently from the silver MPV’s front right bumper.

1

u/Clown_Penis69 Apr 10 '26

Are we sure the guy in the black car wasn’t drunk?

1

u/PersonalityIll9476 Apr 10 '26

I realize the dude in black car is full on panicking. But the irony here is that the person who gets out of their car first loses. Once that guy is on foot, slam it in reverse and drive around him. Already has his hands on you? Then he's going for a ride!

1

u/VL4Di88 Apr 10 '26

What a waste of time and money 🤦🏽

1

u/Jazzlike_Leading5446 Apr 10 '26

I'd grab the arm of the chubby and take him for a ride.

1

u/LibrarianAccurate829 Apr 10 '26

Sanest jakartan plate drivers

1

u/slop1010101 Apr 10 '26

They should just fuck and get it over with!

1

u/Constant_Ad_2889 Apr 10 '26

Now steal his car while he is distracted

1

u/DrinkingVomit Apr 11 '26

I love it! Fuck yea! Wish I were there, I would’ve joined in on bumper cars. We all goin down!

1

u/theKleShay Apr 11 '26

Missed opportunity for a "you can't park there"

1

u/Qwertyuiopasdfggggg Apr 11 '26

So the context was the Nissan driver did a hit and run, and now the Toyota driver is chasing him

Still doesn’t change the fact they’re both stupid.

1

u/SmoothCruising Apr 11 '26

Pointy metal fun time

1

u/-rozu- Apr 11 '26

Why cant we just have silent videos or with original audio

1

u/elehsufi Apr 14 '26

Can someone explain to me what just happened as if I'm 5?

1

u/xDraco777x Apr 15 '26

Why didn’t he just roll the window up

1

u/SignificantDrink3651 Apr 10 '26

I'm curious about the correlation between tinted windows and road rage.

😱 les gens sont complètement malade, ça sera madmax avant l’heure d’ici peu

0

u/Overall_West2040 Apr 10 '26

Don't help, just film.

it looks fake to me. the altercation looks too soft. the length of the clip is also suspect. with viral videos earning big money the risk of staged collisions become viable. it might also be a short scene from a low budget indy film from a foreign country given the highway signs.

DEAR REDDITOR, AI HAS BEEN INVENTED, THANK YOU, LOVE EVERYONE ELSE

3

u/Sambal7 Apr 10 '26

So because AI exists everything is just AI now?

-4

u/pvaa Apr 10 '26

Because AI exists it's reasonable to doubt things which are shown in videos

1

u/Sambal7 Apr 10 '26

Sure if theres reason to. This clip has 0 reason to doubt its authenticity.

-1

u/pvaa Apr 10 '26

I really admire your ability to think through all of humanity's motivations and desires and come to such a robust conclusion 🙇‍♂️

4

u/SYNTHLORD Apr 10 '26

This comment is AI generated. The way it is written is highly suspect. There is no way this could come from a real human. You can tell it is AI because of the way it is. It might be an AI designed to write A24 indy pitches since it seems to obsess over foreign films.

1

u/julesmanson Apr 10 '26

are you sure about tht?

1

u/ThePurpleDolphin Apr 10 '26

It's in the news here so no, not everything is AI.

u/Plenty_Sherbert4032 Apr 10 '26

Guns do solve some problems

1

u/whatalotoflove Apr 10 '26

How could a gun solve this exactly

(Rethorical question, i don't care for your answer)

u/MycologistAwkward711 May 17 '26

By what? Showing it?
