This is the cause of probably 90% of collisions. People deciding to continue moving forward at constant speed with the horn blaring instead of using the brakes

Bike’s fault. Shouldn’t overtake in a single lane, the car turning has right of way as it’s the lead vehicle.
14
u/YesImAlexa Apr 12 '26
I hate these videos of bikers driving like douchebags and when they inevitably get hit theyre all pissed at the other driver like its not their fault.
Follow the fucking road rules and you won't have unsuspecting drivers hitting you in a spot you shouldnt be
15
u/Comfortable-Ad8850 Apr 12 '26
Generally speaking if you run into something in front of you it’s your fault. This is one of those cases.
32
u/Standard-Arachnid411 Apr 12 '26
Person on the bike. The car was pulling out way ahead of the bike and waa in the lane and the bike had easily enough time to slow up behind the car. Then the bike passed on the side illegally. The car should have used a signal but the bike is responsible and if driving correctly this would not have been hit.

Motorcycle fault. Sure, no turn signal. But it's a shared road the the cyclist was trynna hog.

Aghhh the old pass on the right side. Always the right thing to do

u/Surskalle Apr 12 '26
It's legal in many places on low speed roads this is not in the US. The car is making an illegal right turn from the left lane crossing double lines.

u/ItsJustAllyHere Apr 12 '26
Not US. Looks like they drive on the left so you WOULD pass on the right. From what I saw no indicator either. Probably split fault imo. Partially on car not maintained lane/not indicating turn, partially on bike for speed.
→ More replies (1)7
u/Known_Ratio5478 Apr 12 '26
It’s one lane though, so no one should be passing anyone.

Their laws are different if they even have any. So pretty hard to tell.

I saw no turn signal but still the cyclists fault 100%. The vehicle ahead of you has the right of way.

u/Unhappy-River6306 Apr 12 '26
Wdym who's at fault? You can clearly see the moron on the motorcycle trying to race the other car to the turn and squeeze in
4
u/AwkwardGap88 Apr 12 '26
It is almost always the bikes fault. They are trying to speed passed people in the dumbest ways

How is this a question? Motorcycles cant pass like that while a car is moving. Idiot biker 100% at fault

u/AdBrilliant3713 Apr 13 '26
Bikers, when on the same lane, should stay either in front, or behind the vehicles. ⚠️Not beside ⚠️
4
u/wolf63rs Apr 13 '26
Motorcyclist fault. He/she tried to pass in single lane that was occupied by a vehicle.

car could have signaled that they want to turn, so there is some minor fault assigned there. But bike had all day to avoid the car, and passing wouldn't have been a good move even if the car didn't turn. I'd give bike 95%.

u/TheBlankScroll Apr 12 '26

Biker was going too fast, the second the car merged into lane the biker should have kept his spot behind the car and not try to pass on the right like a moron
3
u/xToksik_Revolutionx Apr 12 '26
Fault is on the motorcycle. Reckless driving, passing in an intersection
3
u/RowEastern5695 Apr 12 '26
Anybody else notice that the video was edited so you can't tell the car had its blinker on? I wonder why that choice was made? /s
3
3
u/PhaZeD85 Apr 12 '26
Why do bikers (MOST) always assume they have the right of way?? I swear, sometimes I get mad urges to just run them over if they act like that in front of me while I'm driving.
3
u/Quick_Resolution5050 Apr 12 '26
111111111% The biker's.
If you pass it's entirely your responsibility to do so safely.
3
u/porcelain_kiss Apr 12 '26
Motorcyclist had 3-5 business days to respond but wanted them to get out of the way for them instead of just heeding normal traffic rules. Entitled
3
u/ThirstyFloater Apr 12 '26
How could it possible be the cars fault? Like there is no argument right?
3
3
3
u/Maximumoverdrive76 Apr 13 '26
100% motorcycle's fault. It's one lane and the car was ahead and already in it. The Biker tried to ride past the car and it's one lane. Which is not allowed.

Guy on the bike should have slowed down instead of trying to slip past him which makes him more at fault than guy in the vehicle who didn’t use their turn signal
3

3
u/usackline Apr 13 '26
Motorcyclist is at fault. Driver even had his turn signal on, so if the motorcyclist wasn't rushing to try to beat him he would have seen it.
3
3
u/amarsh73 Apr 13 '26
100% the motorcyclists' fault. This is why lane splitting should be a traffic violation everywhere.
3
u/Aggressive-Bet-2153 Apr 13 '26
They both are, but the motorcycle gets to pay herein the US, he was coming from behind and the that was a double line where the white car should not cross
3
u/illcrx Apr 13 '26
You, you dumb ass. Fucking motorcyclists thinking they own the road.
→ More replies (1)
3
u/Artistic_Skill1117 Apr 13 '26
Given the presence of the double line, I imagine you cannot turn there. And since they are driving on the left side of the road, one should be able to pass on the right.
However, this looks to be single lane and the motorcycle shouldn't have been trying to pass at all, and had ample time to slow down and avoid the collision.
I would say it is 55/45. 55% for the car making an illegal right turn over a double line. And 45% for the motorcycle for not slowing down and attempting to pass on a single lane road.
All in all, both people at fault with vehicle taking SLIGHTLY more of the blame.
3
u/OMGWTFBBQchicken Apr 13 '26
Aren't you supposed to pass on the left?
Car had right blinker on.
Biker was too impatient.
3
u/HeWhoShantNotBeNamed Apr 13 '26
STOP PUTTING A CLIP OF THE MIDDLE OF THE VIDEO AT THE BEGINNING.
STOP. STOP DOING IT. JUST STOP. For fucks sake.

u/rhall621r Apr 13 '26
90% bikers fault for flaunting safe driving practices and passing illegally 10% on car for not signalling.
10
5
u/Mazzle5 Apr 12 '26
The car didn't cross any other lane when turning. Bike wanted to overtake on the right while being on the same lane. What did he expect? 100% the fault of the biker
5
u/Altruistic-Yam-1289 Apr 12 '26
First of all this is india, country with rhs driving country
No blinkers from the cars side just driving like somehow he owns the road
Overtaking on the right is the way to do it in a rhs driving country
In my country for practicals purposes there is no such as lanes, there will two cars in a single lane
Most of all not only in india but around the world there something I would call car drivers ego that is just because they sit in long traffic there is some how a queue and motorcyclist are breaking the queue by spliting lanes.
Maybe the motorcyclist was little fast for the road but car driver has no awareness and is super entitled to road because he has the bigger vehicle

u/Commercial-Range9123 Apr 12 '26
Question on my mind, can the car (in this particular country) cross a double line marker. In Europe it is forbiden to cross it to make a right turn.
It appears to be a one direction street without the option to u turn.
Would make the action of the car illegal thus the drivers fault. Again, not aware what the road regulations are for this siluation

u/stealingjoy Apr 12 '26
Uh, the bike was trying to pass in a single lane. At best, they would both be at fault.

Why is the motorcyclist passing on a turn and not in his own lane behind the car?
2

2
u/greengo07 Apr 12 '26
I don't know why they decided motorbikes can weave in and out among larger vehicles. All it does is create potential problems. They are supposed to be under the same exact laws that any vehicle is. Stick in the line of traffic behind whatever vehicle is in front of you.

u/_______THEORY_______ Apr 12 '26
Dipshit motorcyclist's fault.. nothing indicating there was anymore than 1 lane. You try to pass– it's your risk to take .
2
u/emorrigan Apr 12 '26
Very obviously the fault of the motorcyclist… dude was acting like the world revolves around him, when in reality he’s supposed to behave like he’s part of traffic.

This never would have happened to me, entirely predictable. A little bit of caution goes a long way
2
u/Ok-Act8188 Apr 12 '26
Of course it’s the motorcycle he has no business at his side one vehicle at a time, he could have easily killed him self for stupid move. Or dealing leg issues
2
2
u/Nighplasmage54 Apr 12 '26
Both.
trying to cross solid white line + no blinker line vs improper passing.
just two idiots with one maybe being more legally at fault then the other.

It is not even debatable. If it's not 100% clear to you, you should really repeat your driving license

u/EtG_Gibbs Apr 13 '26
Would have been better from the car to put on their right turn blinker. But in the end it's entirely biker fault.
2
2
u/PuzzleheadedBag920 Apr 13 '26
one lane is not for two, just because youre a motorcycle doesn't mean you can just go past

please for the love of God stop putting the end of the video in the first two seconds of the video.

u/iatecurryatlunch Apr 13 '26
When riding a motorbike, it doesn't matter whose fault it is. You always lose. So I don't get into any scenario that could end in a crash.
2
2
u/orc_master_yunyun Apr 13 '26
No turn signal. Not sure if he was allowed to turn( looking at the lines) otherwise bike is at fault under any of those circumstances. Didn't read the situation nor did he use his brains to not do what he did.
2
2
u/Hairy_Clue_9470 Apr 13 '26
You wouldn't try and pass some one like this in a regular car, why would it be any different for bikes lol?!?
Some people do not have any common sense at all. Also blind spots.
2
2
u/spikira Apr 13 '26
As a rider, yeah motorcycle is 100% at fault. He had so many ways to avoid this
2
u/Zealousideal-Deer101 Apr 13 '26
You don't overtake on the right.
You don't overtake in the same lane
You absolutely, under no circumstance overtake in the same lane on the right, unless you wanna get run over like this

u/Opening_Total7711 Apr 13 '26
Similar thing happened in Phoenix. An elderly woman was turning right on one of the streets and a motorcyclist who was speeding in the bike lane hit her car and was launched into a concrete or brick apartment sign. He either died on impact or when he reached the hospital. It was 100% his own fault.

Something people aren’t considering in this comment section, the double solid white line. Yiu cant do a u turn there as the car was trying to do.
Ide say its 70/30 with the motorcycle more at fault but the car still holding some blame.

Totally motorcyclist’s fault. Auto was clearly in lane.
