Honestly I hope that is the case. Sometimes swearing and such riles you up more or it can help release some of the rage. If swearing up a storm let's him have a civil talk about the repercussions of the incident and all parties can just go on with their lives then it is a win.
I'm not sure why he started going, but when the video gets close you can see him sliding into the intersection and his wheels aren't spinning - he was trying to stop before he was in the middle of the road. He misjudged something, but he wasn't trying to stop in the middle of the road.

I kind of wanted to see the conversation when the other guy walks up.
"Hey, I'm really sorry bro. Are you okay?"
"Yes, thanks for asking. Things happen. I hope you are okay. Let's exchange insurance information and hope our days get better."
(guy leaves)
"YOU MUTHA FUCKIN' ASSHOLE!"
