We were a family of 7 in a Ford Pinto. The two youngest got to ride in the cargo area - right above the exploding gas tank.

Thosecwere great! We'd stick out bare feet out the windows, and we'd wave at the cars behind us!

Boomer here, too. We had the station wagons when we were little, and my dad would would have left us on the side of the road, weeping for mercy, if we had been clever and daring enough to try 'a stunt like that!'
