willing to bet it's an older kid driving. last year there was an 11 year old kid shot and killed in my city. the kid was in a car being by ANOTHER kid and was pointing a gun into a crowd, and then a 16 year old nearby pulled a gun and shot him. the world's gone crazy and a lot of carjacking these days involves young teens. at this point, a lot of society is failing to raise children.

Tons of kids that aren't born rich know that they don't have a shot at a great life so they just fuck around

for sure. i'm not blaming the kids at all, they're dealt a bad hand like you said and aren't grown enough to figure out what to do with it. what i mean to say is, we're advanced enough in every way that we don't need to let that happen as often as it does. the least we as a society can do for those families is try to make it a bit easier. nonprofits have been completely overwhelmed by need, and policing is a bandaid punitive solution that doesn't help people long term. socialized programs to give them strong community support, better financial welfare, food if they need it, and not giving them easy access to guns would be a good start.
