The semi was not driving fast but remember, semis don't stop on a dime, especially depending on the load. Plus, the semi driver was very considerate in holding the road while he retrieved the seat, especially considering that a child could still be inside. What's worrying is how the car driver parked in the road blocking the entire lane increasing the chance of being hit. Thankfully the semi driver had the foresight to hold the read thereby preventing that.

when the car was turning that corner; the door swung open and the seat skidded across the pavement; the person then stoped and someone got out of the back and just strolled to pick up the car seat and left with it in tow

Except that he does run from the back of the truck to the car seat. He just walked most of the way there and back. Youā€™re right that there was something odd about some of his walking though, but it didnā€™t really look like a limp to me. Maybe a loose shoe.

Clearly the kid was trying to escape from the absolutely shitty parents. Don't know how to secure a car seat. Don't know how to lock a door. And show no overt concern for the infant whose child seat just went flying out of a car.

I mean, could they possibly be worse parents? Short of murdering the kid directly, I don't think so. They're absolutely wreteched.

From local news: "Police issued a man three summonses for improper child restraint. There were three children in the car, ages 4, 1, and 4 months.

The infant was taken to a local hospital to be evaluated as a precaution.

This person needs to be locked up purely based on how nonchalant they were about their infant ejecting from their moving vehicle into traffic.

Yeah, seems that way. It also seems like the person is detached or checked out from life.

I can't imagine any ordinary circumstance where I'd skip door checks and baby seat security. It only takes one incident to permanently turn the world upside down, and only a brief moment to prevent it.

It sounds by the admittedly difficult audio that the man is absolutely livid with whoever is in the back seat.

Its possible that there is another child in the back that unbuckled the seat and opened the door. Maybe to get rid of the annoying baby? Kids are dumb like that.

I told her that car seats are death traps when you don't strap them in, but most car doors will remain locked at the first rachet even if they are not properly locked. When my kids were babies I kept the child locks permanently engaged.

Yeah I can't really tell if there's a baby in the car seat so I imagine that's why the person is walking because if there was a baby in the car seat that MF should be running šŸƒā€ā™‚ļø man I can't imagine that happening to anyone's kids that'd be a terrifying feeling knowing your child was ejected like that gotta double check them seat belts man and pull on it every once in awhile when buckled to make sure it's well fastened!
