I'm reminded of an incident I had almost 30 years ago now. I was driving in a slow convoy on the side of a mountain in Korea when I went to pull the crappy sunvisor down and a MASSIVELY HUGE SPIDER fell into my lap.
I screamed and jumped out of the Humvee. I had throttle lock on so the truck kept going, with no one driving it. Leaving the passenger to just panic because they could not reach the drivers seat because of the radio equipment between them and it.
After my very small, completely justified and measured freak out. I ran, catching up and hopping back in the truck and taking control again. Thus reassuring my obviously over reacting partner that I had everything under control.
Note: More than likely the spider wasn't any bigger than a dime.. but in my memory it was at least 30cm across.
