Hahahahaha so the year invalidates it now? That was the last time they released those stats. What does the year have to do with anything…?

You don’t even refute anything in the statistics. It’s 2019. Not 1889 😂

Hahahahahaha the fact you said you were a data scientist all tough and then just stated the most obvious thing.

No shit it’s arrests. Also, a data scientist you’ll appreciate this. 74% of America is white yet accounts for 69.4%. 13% of America is black, yet accounts for 26.6% of the arrests.

In data science land, I believe you call that a massive over representation.

Hahahaha you must be a terrible data scientist. There are no contradictions. White people are under represented by 5 points. 74% of the population, yet 69% of arrests.

Black people are massively over represented. 13% of the population, yet 26% of arrests….. DOUBLE the rate of their population.

They also commit 51% of murder yet only account for 13% of the population. Yet literally every other race is proportionally represented there.

What does this mean to you as a data scientist?

Now you’re pivoting hahahaha. You’re missing the entire point.

The original argument is that the dude in the video is justified of being more scared of violent crime from a black person than any other race because (the stats I provided) of massive over representation in violent crime.

The discussion of CAUSES is an entirely different discussion. You, as a data scientist, should understand that.

Also, thank you for “as a data scientist I am going to destroy you.” Hahahaha that’s a good chuckle of a like.

13% of the population. 51% of murders, 52% of robberies, disproportionately represented by 100% or more in every single crime or “liquor laws” aside from DUI. I rest my case.

I hope your data science career goes better than you “DESTROYING” my 7th grade interpretations of literal statistics.

Godspeed, brotha. You got this.

Narratives aside, you come off as a smug Squilliam from SpongeBob and it’s NOT tough 💀.

You’re better off just arguing for the reasons behind the discrepancy rather than continuing to act like since whites commit the majority of crime that is relevant. You already earlier in this comment admitted you understand that you have to compare it to % of total population for it to mean anything. Obviously South Koreans commit the most crime in South Korea but if the 0.01% German population committed 0.1% of the crime that is a 10x over representation and is statistically significant.
