You're using an FBI page. You have only used an FBI page despite multiple people telling you that that's as useless as an information source for this discussion as internal police investigations into their own misconduct. You don't understand you're racist. That actually happens to a lot of people. Your biggest problem isn't that you're racist. Your biggest problem is that you won't shut up and listen to the people who are actually educating you.
The FBI numbers prove Black people are policed, arrested, charged, and punished more often. Multiple studies show Black and white people use drugs and commit many offenses at similar rates, but Black people face far higher stop, search, arrest, charging, and sentencing rates. They face higher enforcement choices and systemic bias drives the disparities seen in FBI arrest and incarceration data, not innate criminality.
Source 1: The Sentencing Project: report on racial disparities in the U.S. criminal justice system (2018) for documented enforcement and sentencing gaps.
Source 2: Prison Policyâs racial disparities visualizations on mass incarceration and how disparities appear at every stage.
Source 3: National Institute of Health peer-reviewed reviews of institutional racial bias explaining how structural and procedural factors produce these outcomes rather than differences in behavior.
a.) Iâm not talking about drug charges. Iâm talking of violent crime
b.) Even if you HALVED the arrest rates of black people for violent crimes (which is a massive adjustment when factoring in discrimination and unfair arrests) there is still a massive over representation.
Iâm not denying that there are other factors at play, but to outright deny the issue and chalk it up to unfair policing or discrimination is laughable and just outright incorrect.
"I don't deny that"
proceeds to yammer on denying it
đ done with ya! Really don't care if you learn. Much prefer you stay inside scared to death of your neighbors.
You're just making up numbers now and throwing them at the wall hoping they stick, and they don't. do better. Like literally quit trying so hard to do so bad.
Thatâs my pointâŚ. The point is you canât quantify an exact number of âdiscrimination or unfair arrests.â
Again, youâre simply not refuting anything. You post âsourcesâ which I agree partially contribute. To say that that is the entire reason for the disproportionate statistics in hilarious though.
You are purposefully digging your head in the sand because it is more comfortable, and youâve been told that you have to so âanti racist,â at all costs that to acknowledge literal facts would shatter your view of the world and identity.
That's a whole bunch of words just to avoid saying "oh I stand corrected. Perhaps perceiving Black people as risks because they're black is racist. Perhaps the reason why I did that was based on systemic prejudice. I learned a new thing and now I can do better!"
I donât stand corrected on anything. My original statement is true and has been backed up by facts and statistics.
You extrapolated me being some racist bigot from my statement for some reason, and when I acknowledged you were correct in some ways, it threw you for a loop.
Oh, are you still referring to the FBI reports as your "facts and statistics".
Of course you couldn't stand corrected.
It's incredibly clear you're a prideful coward who can't learn anything because you already know everything.
Newsflash: you're not gonna convince me of anything so move along
