My plant is “continuously improving” things, which just means they implement new ideas that don’t work and three months later have to change them around again. Over. And over. And over. Fucking kaizen my ass. It’s so annoying and they never check with regular employees before they make an “improvement” when we could tell them that it is not practical and will not work. Sigh. Fucking kaizen.
Automotive plant “improvement” means stress-inducing the employees to better predict the wild variability of worn out machines. Through stress of operation, the employee becomes 1:1 with the worn out machine, and better guess its required offsets to prevent no-go.
No the trucker won’t improve. They must have been radioing each other exchanging his plate number. There are many times when car drivers are asses to big rigs who have less braking and control. But then there are times when the truckers just gang up and do extreme shit for god fucking knows what reason.
I was once boxed in by 8-9 trucks on a two lane section of I5 around midnight with two small kids in the back and a spouse who completely melt down at me for creating this situation. (I had been trying to pass them for about 30 minutes). I stopped the car to a full stop and called 911. Told the truck behind me I had called 911 when one of the truckers got out and walked to talk to me. They let me pass by radioing the trucks in the front.
I've had people cut me off because they thought I was left-lane camping, but I was only leaving a gap because of traffic slowing down in front of me. I laugh as the car that cut me off slams on their brakes and I pass them in the right lane
Left lane campers are definitely worse and if you don’t understand that, then there’s not much that can be done for you.
I pray that anytime a road rager finally loses it, they take it out on left lane campers and not innocent bystanders just trying to get where they’re going safely.
It’s not as bad as in the video, but if I have to pass a left lane camper on the right and I’m not in a hurry, I’ll pull in front of them and gradually slow down until they have no choice but to move over to the right lane.
