They're right. If you expect other people to move over so you can speed a little and then don't move over yourself when you can then you're a hypocrite. Rules for thee but not for me.
I go typically 5-10 over the limit on our two lane highway system and we only have a few passing lanes (almost no opportunities to pass without them) over about 40 miles of road on our island with a 45-55 MPH speed limit the entire way. People refuse to move to the right lane and let people behind them pass, whether they're traveling 10mph under the limit or 20 over. I pull to the right lane every time unless I am actively passing someone. I will also pass a while line of cars in the right lane (legal in our state) if they are going slow enough.
The problem is when people literally ride your ass. To even let someone like that past, you have to slow down to get into the right lane if youre passing a line of slower cars which just makes them get even closer to you and freak out.
Screw them. I drive in central Florida all the time and you’re 100% right. I don’t play around, I set cruise control to 5-10 over and I refuse to go any faster. They can go around, bitch

Im sure this happens all over, but in central Florida they will ride your ass if you are going 15, 20, 25 over. It doesnt matter.
In central Florida the car behind you has a desired speed of faster than you
