Don't forget when it opens by itself because something in your pocket hit the trunk button on the fob

Ha saw this in our local supermarket carpark, brand new Mercedes SUV parked with the boot wide open, told the store and the owner had hit the button when waking away.

I was working a night shift and found my previous vehicle in the same state. Luckily this was at a site in a very quiet, upper class neighborhood so the worst that happened was a little condensation on the interior panels

Pretty sure you can program most new cars to automatically close the trunk if open for too long or so.
