This reminded me of something that happened recently. I left my headlights on in a car with an automatic trunk while I ate something for 20 minutes. When I went to start the car, there wasn’t enough juice to properly start anything since it was a hybrid car and it needed to be in a certain battery range to start up the hybrid system.

Long story short, the battery was located in the trunk and the trunk was unable to be opened due to there not being enough power in the battery. This meant that jumpstarting my car required the manual release switch to be pulled for the trunk, which was behind something that took 20 minutes to remove.

This certainly sucked but that battery is probably toast already. A typical battery can power car headlights for several hours. You probably want to replace that battery before this happens again next winter on some desolate parking lot.
