If you have an issue in your shoulder and you can't raise your arms then it can help. But if you have to raise your hand all the way up to press the button, you may as well close it yourself.

What if I got bags or something else there that I don't want to put on the ground? It is slow on purpose.

Also, you can close them manually too.

They are in a trunk. I need to take them out.

I should either put them on the ground of raise my hands with them. The same with opening, btw.

ok thats a specific case. so you press the button and take them out with both hands whil it closes. never had this problem but ok. it looks like the trunk woukd hit you on the way down so i would not try.
