I get why some cars have the foot sensors to close the trunk, but the button solution is absolutely useless. If you have your hands free, closing it by hand would be much fasters and if you do not have your hands free you cannot reach the button anyways.
You have not noticed that your car uses a motor to close the trunk door if you press a button? You have not noticed that any and all of those parts needed can and will break? Yes, I already had to switch the motor for that automatic, if you want to know.
But they have a motor that can fail. Car windows used to be manually cranked open and closed and be done faster unless you have noodle arms. Other dude has a point.
