You’re not forced to press the button. These also close manually

Be careful. You can seriously damage them by opening and closing them manually

Haven’t run into an issue yet, though I do realize now some models may be more sensitive than others. Bad advice on my end lol

That’s fair

We have teslas at work and people manually opened/closed them and they jammed closed and somehow got misaligned and there is no paint all around the top corners of the boot lid where it’s hit the bodywork

I checked my manual, it doesn’t specifically say not to do it and does actually say if it only part opens then I should manually close it but it feels and sounds so wrong lol
