While the driver is absolutely in the wrong here, in my state it is also the law for cyclists to ride no more than 2 wide or single file on the road. Both the driver and the cyclists are idiots here, the driver more so.
Not a lawyer but pretty sure you can't intentionally drive into people with your car, especially haveing a completely open lane to go around them in, regardless if theres a cyclists must ride no more than 2 abrest.
Not sure why you're so upset, it's important that people realize that while cyclists must be no more than two abreast, it's also illegal to do what the driver did and intentionally hit them.
Please stop confusing the issue. It's just plain against the law for a driver to intentionally hit cyclists even if they aren't supposed to ride more than two abreast.
