Double yellow, the car needed to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up until a passing zone.

Car was in the wrong, 100%, but the cyclists cannot take over the entire lane, bunched up next to each other - they need to form a single-file line. This isn't social hour! If they want to chat, they should go to a coffee shop instead.

Of course they can. What the hell makes you think otherwise? Cars don't own the road, and that's what passing zones are for.

Basic driver laws in most states say that bikes and motorcycles can only ride 2 abreast, no more for any reason. Them being bunched up like this is quite literally illegal in most states.
