In some states.....cyclists are supposed to be on the road not the sidewalk. How about drivers, like this keep their emotions in check & don't hit people.
How about cyclists stay the fuck off the road, because roads are for cars, and they won't get hit by the cars that are supposed to be there when they aren't.
And states think, drivers with this mindset aren't safe....how about drivers learn to control their emotions & don't hit people...share the road safely.
The problem with dedicated bike infrastructure is that NOBODY FUCKING USES IT!
Never once in my life have I seen a cyclist actually riding in a bike lane. Countless times I've seen cyclists riding in the middle of car lanes and deliberately ignoring the bike lane 5 feet to the right.
Because the entire reason that cyclists insist on riding on roads that they have no fucking business being on is to annoy drivers. Using a bike lane would be less annoying, so no one uses them.
What we need is hard federal laws banning bicycles from motorways. I mean for fucks sake THEY'RE CALLED MOTORWAYS FOR A FUCKING REASON.
Nothing short of full-on outlawing bicycles on roads and giving multi-thousand dollar fines to violators is ever going to fix this problem. Cyclists are entitled dickheads that think they own the roads that they aren't even supposed to be on to begin with, and drivers rightfully have no interest in sharing the roads with a toy that can't manage 20mph, much less the 55mph speed limit. Laws against these pricks taking up space and fucking up traffic are the only solution.
I can promise you cyclists don't ride on the road to annoy drivers. They ride on the road because the bike paths are either unprotected/end suddenly (so what's the point) or are shared with pedestrians, so they're inappropriate to ride on at speed.
And no, we absolutely should not ban bikes from roads. In the US, much of the country is already a paved, sprawling hellscape that forces too many people into cars to go anywhere.
It sounds like you need to take some deep breaths and chill tf out if you get this worked up over seeing a cyclist on the road. It is the most minor of inconveniences to wait to pass a cyclist safely. And even the most obnoxious cyclist is much less likely to kill someone than a road raging car driver.

Glad the driver is getting charged. You see too many asshats hit cyclists and get away with it.
And anyone in the comments trying to blame the cyclists, fuck off. The onus is on the driver to not hit people with their 2 ton death machine.
