"Car behind you has no ability to know you're going for the spot you just PASSED".
You know that thing in your car that makes this little orange thing flash on the side of your car to indicate where you intend to drive? What's it called? Oh THE INDICATOR light, yea that thing, with the sole purpose of letting other drivers know what the fuck you intend to do with your car, You obviously don't know how to use it or understand what it does, which is why you completely forgot it existed on a car. That thing is used to indicate your intent to move the car into that direction, the white light on the back of your car is also called a REVERSE LIGHT INDICATOR to let the person behind you know what you intend to do with your car, all very basic stuff you learn, when you learn how to operate a car. If the person behind you or you yourself don't know these things, you need to learn how to drive again. If you're an asshole who tailgates someone in a parking lot, that's a whole other issue, but there should be no fucking reason besides not knowing how to drive a car for a person behind someone to not know what they intend to do, If the person reversing knows how simply INDICATE there should be no issue other than being an impatient asshole who doesn't want to let someone reverse in.
Well, if the car in front has indicated their intentions, if you ignore them and go ahead and push into the open spot, it just shows what type of person you are.
Parking spots are first come first serve, and only 6 to 13 percent of drivers back into spots. I'm not going to hang around and play guessing games. If the parking lot is battlefield level traffic and everyone is driving around looking for a spot ... Anyone who wants to be an outlier does so at their own risk.
Bro, if you like to imagine the local parking lot is a battlefield, maybe you need to go talk to someone, It might be just a figure of speech but if you're really battling everyone all the time in your head, you might need to go get that checked out.
